Miracle Doctor Chapter 1058

Kill without hesitation!

Hearing those four words, the Guardian’s gaze grew even more terrifying, like an abyss, chilling to the core.

The Guardian said coldly, Ye Wushuang, do you not know that cultivators must not attack mortals?

I know, Ye Wushuang replied calmly.

The Guardian barked, Knowing that, you still dare break the rules?

What, only officials can start fires, but commoners can’t light a lamp? Ye Wushuang retorted, Long Yi and Long Er are both cultivators, yet they attacked my son, brothers, and friends. If we’re talking about breaking rules, they broke them first.

And you, as the Guardian, protector of the nation’s peace, why didn’t you step in to stop them earlier?

Just because you’re Long Yi’s uncle?

Talking about rules now, isn’t that laughable?

The Guardian was so furious he couldn’t speak, You—

Elder Tang stood, bowed, and said, Guardian, though the Ye family and the Forbidden City have their grudges, Long Yi and Second Master were cultivators who attacked the Ye family, indeed breaking the rules.

Shut up! the Guardian snapped, It’s not your place to speak.

Elder Tang immediately fell silent.

Though a man of power, he had no voice before the Guardian.

Secular authority held no sway over cultivators.

At this, Old Master Ye stood and spoke, Guardian, if you truly wanted fairness, you should have stopped Long Yi and Long Er before they acted.

But you didn’t.

I suppose you had your own biases, as they’re your kin, which I understand.

But pointing fingers at my son now, what’s that about?

Just because you’re the Guardian, holding the power of life and death, you can pin any crime on Wushuang?

If that’s the case, I’m sorry, I don’t recognise you as Guardian!

The crowd was stunned.

Ye Wushuang could challenge the Guardian as a cultivator, but Old Master Ye, a mere mortal, saying such things, wasn’t that seeking death?

As expected.

The Guardian, hearing Old Master Ye’s words, was livid, shouting, What are you to challenge me?

He raised his hand.

Buzz!

A burst of light shot from the Guardian’s palm, swift as a meteor, heading straight for Old Master Ye.

Ye Wushuang flashed forward, blocking his father, and shattered the light with a punch.

Guardian, you showed up just to avenge Long Yi, didn’t you? Come at me.

Ye Wushuang looked at the Guardian calmly, Even if you weren’t here for Long Yi, I’d come for you.

Because today, I won’t let a single soul in the Forbidden City live!

The dominance of a generation’s God of Slaughter was unmistakable.

The Guardian laughed in rage, Good, very good, your Ye family is arrogant to the extreme.

Since that’s the case, your Ye family has no need to exist.

Ye Wushuang, I’ll start with you, then wipe out the Ye family.

Wipe out my Ye family? Ye Wushuang sneered, Do you have the strength?

We’ll find out, the Guardian said, extending his right palm.

Instantly, a millstone-sized palm print descended from the sky.

Boom!

A wild aura swept over, like a mountain collapsing or a tsunami roaring, earth-shaking.

Ye Qiu felt his breathing constrict, his blood nearly freezing, and quickly led Old Master Ye, Elder Tang, and others back hundreds of metres.

The War God and others retreated further still.

The elite families couldn’t withstand the Guardian’s pressure, unable to even retreat, collapsing to their knees, trembling in fear.

Ye Wushuang raised his right index and middle fingers, slashing forward.

Clang!

A sword’s hum rang out.

A golden sword beam shot from Ye Wushuang’s fingertips, slicing through the air, meeting the Guardian’s palm print.

Pfft!

The palm print was pierced by the sword qi, vanishing without a trace.

Everyone was shocked by Ye Wushuang’s skill. Under the Guardian’s pressure, they could only kneel, but Ye Wushuang effortlessly broke the Guardian’s attack.

The God of Slaughter was outrageously strong!

That was everyone’s thought.

Venerable Realm!

The Guardian saw through Ye Wushuang’s cultivation at a glance.

Ye Qiu quickly asked Longbrow真人, What’s the Venerable Realm?

Longbrow真人 replied, A cultivation realm.

Nonsense, Ye Qiu snapped, I’m asking what level the Venerable Realm is in cultivation?

How would I know? Longbrow真人 said, I’m not a cultivator.

Useless question.

The War God said, From what I know, the Venerable Realm is the second major realm in cultivation.

The three realms, from low to high, are Foundation Building, Venerable, and King.

After a martial artist cultivates ten strands of true qi and passes a heavenly tribulation, they become a Foundation Building cultivator, like Long Er.

Each major realm has three sub-realms: early, middle, and peak.

Since Wushuang is in the Venerable Realm, and he easily crushed Long Yi and the Forbidden City’s eighteen guards, Long Yi and the guards were likely in the middle or peak Foundation Building.

Ye Qiu pressed, How are early, middle, and peak sub-realms divided?

By dragon qi, the War God said.

Dragon qi? Ye Qiu was puzzled, hearing it for the first time.

The War God explained, Martial artists cultivate true qi, cultivators cultivate dragon qi.

One strand of dragon qi is early Foundation Building, three strands is middle, six strands is peak.

Cultivating nine strands and passing a tribulation advances you to the Venerable Realm.

In the Venerable Realm, cultivation difficulty doubles. Eighteen strands is middle Venerable, thirty-six strands is peak Venerable, then passing a tribulation leads to the King Realm.

The War God continued, Dragon qi represents combat power. The more dragon qi cultivated, the higher the realm, the stronger the power.

But it’s said that cultivation realms are strict, with higher realms absolutely suppressing lower ones, like God List masters overpowering Dragon List masters.

There’s an uncrossable chasm between realms, hard to break.

Of course, some prodigies can kill across realms.

Ye Qiu asked, What realm is the Guardian?

The War God shook his head, I don’t know, I’m not a cultivator, but it seems the Guardian’s cultivation is no less than Wushuang’s, maybe even stronger!

Stronger?

Ye Qiu’s heart sank.

At that moment, the Guardian’s cold voice rang out, Ye Wushuang, I’ve long broken through to the King Realm. You’re no match for me. I advise you to end yourself, or you’ll be reduced to ashes.

But Ye Wushuang showed no fear, smiling at the Guardian, I haven’t killed a King Realm master yet. I’d like to try!

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1059

I haven’t killed a King Realm master yet. I’d like to try!

Hearing Ye Wushuang’s words, the Guardian was furious.

Ye Wushuang, you’re too arrogant.

Do you think just because your name means ‘matchless,’ you’re truly unmatched in the world?

Below the King Realm, all are ants.

In my eyes, you’re as weak as an ant…

Enough! Ye Wushuang cut the Guardian off, shouting, Less talk. Whether I’m arrogant, we’ll know after we fight.

Boom!

As he spoke, Ye Wushuang struck, his body soaring like a wild goose, instantly appearing before the Guardian.

Bang!

Ye Wushuang’s right fist glowed with golden light, smashing fiercely toward the Guardian.

The Guardian countered, his palm like a dark cloud, striking at Ye Wushuang’s fist.

Their clash sent a terrifying pressure that dispersed the snow and wind within a hundred metres.

This battle was extraordinary, a clash between the Venerable Realm and the King Realm, its mere aura far more terrifying than Ye Wushuang’s fight with Long Yi and the others.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

A series of collisions echoed above the city wall, earth-shaking.

Ye Wushuang and the Guardian moved so fast, like two bolts of lightning clashing fiercely, that onlookers strained their eyes but couldn’t track their movements.

Even Ye Qiu could only see two blurry shadows colliding intensely.

War God, can you see their movements clearly? Ye Qiu asked.

The War God shook his head, I can’t.

Ye Qiu was shocked. Even a master like the War God, with nine strands of true qi, couldn’t track Ye Wushuang and the Guardian’s movements.

Moments later.

Boom!

A massive crash.

Ye Wushuang and the Guardian’s figures swiftly parted.

The Guardian retreated to the roof of the great hall, his face dark.

Ye Wushuang descended from the wall, stepping back twenty or thirty metres before steadying himself.

Neither showed visible injuries.

The Guardian stared at Ye Wushuang, saying coldly, No wonder you’re so arrogant. You’ve reached the peak of the Venerable Realm, just half a step from King.

Ye Wushuang smiled back, Is this all a King Realm master has? Honestly disappointing.

That’s because I’ve only used a tenth of my strength, the Guardian said, Ye Wushuang, fight me with your full power, or you’ll die soon.

Clang!

A red light shot from the depths of the Forbidden City, like a meteor, streaking brightly across the sky, landing in the Guardian’s hand.

It was a dragon-patterned spear, blood-red, its tip glowing with a bloodthirsty light.

Ye Wushuang stretched out his right hand, shouting, Return.

Whoosh!

The sword that had pinned Long Er to the wall whistled back to Ye Wushuang’s hand.

With the sword in hand, Ye Wushuang seemed transformed.

He now looked like a sharpened divine sword, radiating edge.

Whoosh!

Ye Wushuang stepped forward, sword in hand, soaring against the heavens, instantly reaching the Guardian.

The Guardian’s dragon-patterned spear slashed out a terrifying spear glow, clashing with the sword.

Clang!

Sparks flew.

A deafening collision rang out.

The battle erupted.

On the hall’s roof, their figures clashed repeatedly, sword and spear striking with metallic clangs.

Each clash sent long sparks flashing brilliantly in the night sky.

This time, though their fight was fierce, they focused on power, not speed.

Ye Wushuang, at the peak of the Venerable Realm, faced a King Realm master and held his own.

This stunned the War God and others.

Wushuang’s combat strength is terrifying. In the same realm, he’d have no equal, the War God said.

Ye Wudi added, If they were in the same realm, the Guardian would’ve lost already.

Dragon Lady sighed, Living in the same era as Ye Wushuang is truly tragic.

He’s like the moon in the sky, outshining all the stars.

Too powerful.

Ye Wudi glared, Wife, how can you call him by name? You should call him Big Brother.

Dragon Lady rolled her eyes, I’m not married to you yet.

Isn’t it just a matter of time? Ye Wudi said, Wife, let’s pick a date and get married, okay?

Seeing Ye Wudi’s earnestness, Dragon Lady was touched but said, Let’s talk after tonight.

She was deeply worried.

Ye Wushuang was formidable, but the Guardian’s cultivation was a full realm above his. Beating him would be no easy task.

If things went wrong, they might all die here tonight.

On the other side.

Ye Qiu stared at Ye Wushuang’s figure, eyes unblinking, silently praying, Father, the Ye family’s survival depends on you. You have to hold on!

On the hall’s roof.

Ye Wushuang and the Guardian clashed head-on, their speed gradually increasing.

They moved from the roof to the ground, then teleported to other spots, fighting as if crossing through space, the battle fiercely intense.

Gradually, Ye Qiu could no longer track their movements, seeing only two light-like shadows colliding.

Reluctantly, he activated his heavenly eye.

Instantly, Ye Qiu saw their attacks clearly.

Ye Wushuang’s sword unleashed a brilliant golden light, sword qi slashing freely.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Sword qi, metres long, razor-sharp, seemed to tear the heavens apart.

Opposite him, the Guardian’s dragon-patterned spear unleashed countless spear glows, overwhelming the sky.

Sword edge met spear glow.

The clash was relentless.

Ye Wushuang struck sword after sword, unleashing 108 slashes in one breath, his divine might unstoppable.

The Guardian was forced back dozens of steps, his body trembling, the hand gripping the spear splitting at the webbing, blood flowing.

How is this possible?

The Guardian was shocked.

He couldn’t fathom how Ye Wushuang, merely at the peak of the Venerable Realm, could have such terrifying combat strength.

His own cultivation was a full realm above, yet he was injured by Ye Wushuang.

Unbelievable.

At the same time, the Guardian realised something, if he didn’t use his full strength, he might actually die by Ye Wushuang’s sword.

Hmph!

The Guardian snorted coldly, swiftly wielding the dragon-patterned spear to block Ye Wushuang’s storm-like attacks, then retreated sharply.

He backed a hundred metres to another hall’s roof, stomping heavily.

Boom!

The hall collapsed, and the Guardian rose into the air, exuding a soul-shaking aura.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1060

Boom!

The Guardian’s aura shifted dramatically.

Standing in the air, enveloped in a layer of white light, wielding the dragon-patterned spear, he resembled a divine being.

Holy and inviolable.

In that moment, the elite families felt an overwhelming pressure. Their knees, already bent, gave way, and they collapsed like dogs crawling on the ground.

Some frail, elderly family heads were knocked unconscious by the force.

Then, the Guardian’s voice thundered like a storm, shaking the heavens.

Ye Wushuang, you’ve truly impressed me. In all my years, you’re the first Venerable Realm cultivator to challenge me this long.

Ye Wushuang leaped onto the city wall, his face expressionless, Believe it or not, I can not only challenge you but kill you?

Insolent! the Guardian roared, I only used half my strength earlier.

What? That intense fight was only half his strength?

Hearing this, Ye Qiu and the others found it unimaginable, their hearts in their throats.

Yet Ye Wushuang’s stance remained unyielding, Whether you used half or all your strength, I’ll cut you down today.

Guardian, stop wasting time.

Let’s end this quickly!

Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll oblige, the Guardian said, shaking his arm.

Instantly, the dragon-patterned spear seemed to come alive, releasing an unparalleled sharpness.

A chilling aura. Boundless killing intent.

Clang!

The Guardian shot forward like an arrow, carrying immense force, charging at Ye Wushuang.

The dragon-patterned spear swept out, its glow staining the sky red, as if blood were boiling.

This was a King Realm master’s ultimate attack, a single thrust with the power to annihilate all.

Golden light swirled in Ye Wushuang’s eyes, like twin divine lamps, radiant and dazzling, his fighting spirit surging.

Kill!

Ye Wushuang charged with his sword.

Whoosh!

A blood-red spear glow grazed past Ye Wushuang, leaving a massive hole in the city wall.

Then, a barrage of spear glows rained down, dense as a storm, terrifying to the extreme.

Ye Wushuang’s calm face finally showed a trace of gravity as he began to counter with full force.

Boom!

Another spear glow skimmed his shoulder, demolishing half the wall.

Ye Qiu’s expression changed.

The Guardian’s attacks were too fierce, and the battle had only just begun.

For safety, Ye Qiu led Old Master Ye and Elder Tang back further, stopping at the city gate to avoid the battle’s shockwaves.

Ye Wushuang, I’ve only used sixty percent of my strength now. I hope you can force me to go all out.

But it seems you can’t.

As I said, below the King Realm, all are ants.

The Guardian kept wielding the dragon-patterned spear, bringing a tsunami-like force, descending from the air, hundreds of spear glows sealing all of Ye Wushuang’s escape routes.

Finally, the Guardian used the spear like a club, smashing it down.

Ye Wushuang raised his sword to block.

Clang!

The clash of weapons sounded like ghostly wails.

Ye Wushuang’s chest churned with blood, a trickle spilling from his lips as he retreated.

The Guardian gave no respite, twisting his palm after the smash. The dragon-patterned spear pierced through the void like lightning, aiming for Ye Wushuang’s heart.

Ye Wushuang retreated again.

The Guardian’s spear pressed forward relentlessly, shifting its aim to Ye Wushuang’s forehead, intent on pinning him.

The spear’s tip grew even sharper.

Ye Qiu, watching, held his breath.

The Guardian’s strike was too domineering, its glow illuminating the heavens, like a blazing sun, unmatched in might.

Ye Wushuang kept retreating.

But the spear’s tip drew closer.

In a blink, the Guardian’s spear was just five metres from Ye Wushuang.

At that moment, a drop of blood appeared on Ye Wushuang’s forehead, trickling down his nose, wounded by the spear’s sharp aura.

Father…

Ye Qiu clenched his fists, wishing he could block the Guardian’s attack for Ye Wushuang.

But his cultivation was too weak, rushing in would not only fail to help but distract Ye Wushuang.

Soon, Ye Wushuang was just fifty metres from the city gate.

Let’s see how far you can retreat, the Guardian sneered, If you keep backing up, the first to die won’t be you, but your father and son.

One strike from me, and they’ll be reduced to ashes.

Boom!

Ye Wushuang suddenly stopped, and under the Guardian’s shocked gaze, he tossed aside his sword, raised his fist, and met the dragon-patterned spear.

Everyone was stunned.

Is he mad?

Using a fist against a spear, that’s suicide.

The Guardian didn’t understand. At this life-or-death moment, where did Ye Wushuang find the courage to fight with his fist?

His dragon-patterned spear was razor-sharp; if it hit Ye Wushuang’s fist, it would shatter it instantly.

Was he, knowing he couldn’t win, just giving up?

Fine, since you seek death, I’ll send you on your way.

The Guardian sneered, thrusting the spear forward, striking Ye Wushuang’s fist.

Bang!

After a loud crash, the Guardian was shocked to find Ye Wushuang’s fist intact.

This…

Before the Guardian could recover, a faint crack sounded from the dragon-patterned spear.

Crack!

The Guardian looked down, seeing a fissure at the spear’s tip.

He cracked my weapon with his fist?

The Guardian was dazed.

He couldn’t fathom how Ye Wushuang, with a lower realm, had such perverse combat strength.

The Guardian even wondered if Ye Wushuang was hiding his cultivation, or how could his fist be so tough?

While the Guardian was distracted, Ye Wushuang’s fist struck again.

I don’t believe a flesh-and-blood body can outmatch my spear.

The Guardian quickly channelled power into the dragon-patterned spear, clashing fiercely with Ye Wushuang.

Bang!

Ye Wushuang’s fist, wrapped in dense golden light, became like a peerless weapon, striking the spear, sparks flying.

Ye Wushuang unleashed his might.

He threw seventeen punches in one breath, finally shattering the dragon-patterned spear with his fist.

Boom!

Ye Wushuang followed with an eighteenth punch, like a tidal wave, slamming toward the Guardian.

Without his spear, the Guardian met it with his palm.

But as his palm touched Ye Wushuang’s fist, a wild force surged into his meridians.

The next second, blood trickled from the Guardian’s mouth, his body flying backward.

Ye Wushuang didn’t pursue, standing atop the city wall, hands behind his back, spitting out a cold remark.

King Realm master? Nothing more!

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1061

The wind and snow swirled wildly.

Ye Wushuang stood atop the city wall, his aura formidable, as if he were a god of war.

The crowd was stunned. Could the Guardian have been defeated?

“Boom!”

At that moment, a powerful surge emanated from the depths of the Forbidden City, and the Guardian’s figure reappeared.

The Guardian stood on the roof of a grand hall, his arm bleeding, his face cold as iron.

As the Guardian of a nation, a peerless master at the King Realm, being knocked back by someone of a lower realm was an utter disgrace.

Yet, despite his anger, the Guardian did not act rashly.

“What fist technique did you just use?” he asked in a low voice.

During their earlier clash, he had felt an invincible momentum from Ye Wushuang’s fists.

Moreover, this technique seemed to enhance Ye Wushuang’s combat strength, growing fiercer with each punch.

Ye Wushuang said calmly, “The technique has no name.”

“No name?” The Guardian was taken aback, “What do you mean?”

Ye Wushuang replied, “It’s a fist technique I created myself, without a name.”

Hiss!

The crowd gasped.

Whether martial artist or cultivator, those who could create their own techniques were, without exception, prodigies of astonishing talent.

The Guardian’s pupils constricted.

Even as a King Realm powerhouse, he had yet to create a technique, but Ye Wushuang, despite his lower cultivation, had already done so, showing his terrifying talent.

Only then did the Guardian understand why Ye Wushuang could challenge him across realms.

“If this boy lives, the Forbidden City will fall.”

With this thought, murderous intent surged in the Guardian’s heart.

“Ye Wushuang, let me see how powerful your self-created fist technique really is.”

With that, the Guardian reached out, and a black light shot up from the depths of the Forbidden City, landing in his palm.

It was a black cold-iron war spear.

Three zhang long, glinting coldly.

“Kill!”

The Guardian let out a long roar, the terrifying sound waves shattering the air, and charged at Ye Wushuang with the spear.

He unleashed endless killing moves from the start.

“Boom!”

Between heaven and earth, divine light danced, the spear forming a cage of murderous intent, trapping Ye Wushuang within.

The Guardian, like an immortal deity cloaked in white light, attacked Ye Wushuang.

“No matter how prodigious you are, you’re only at the Venerable Realm, unfit to challenge me.”

The Guardian struck while shouting fiercely.

“You’re boasting too soon.”

Ye Wushuang swung his fists, his movements slow but radiating brilliant golden light, a valiant force surging forth.

He faced the Guardian’s spear bare-handed once more.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Each punch from Ye Wushuang felt earth-shattering, blocking all of the Guardian’s attacks with raw force.

As they clashed fiercely, the shockwaves spread, causing the city walls to collapse.

“Bang!”

Ye Wushuang’s white robes fluttered, his fists growing heavier and faster with each strike.

In the end, the sky was filled with fist imprints.

Ye Wushuang seemed inexhaustible, punching relentlessly. After seventy-two fists, he soared upward, landing a punch that made the Guardian cough up blood.

“Argh…”

The Guardian roared, undaunted despite the injury, displaying unparalleled terrifying techniques.

His spear thrust rapidly, thousands of sharp beams appearing, all aimed at Ye Wushuang.

“Pfft!”

Ye Wushuang was wounded, multiple gashes appearing on his body, blood stark against his white robes, shocking to behold.

Some wounds were pierced through, flesh torn, exposing bloody bones.

Yet Ye Wushuang didn’t flinch or groan, continuing to punch forward fearlessly.

“Bang!”

The Guardian was hit again by Ye Wushuang’s fist, a crack sounding from his shoulder.

His bone had broken.

But the Guardian merely shook his shoulder, and the broken bone swiftly mended.

Then, gripping his spear, he charged at Ye Wushuang again.

His attacks were fiercer than before, clearly holding back his full strength until now.

“Swish!”

The spear thrust forward.

Heaven and earth roared.

Beams of light crisscrossed in the air, forming a giant net descending from the sky, compressing every inch of space toward Ye Wushuang.

“Pfft, pfft…”

More blood holes appeared on Ye Wushuang’s body, blood spraying out.

Though valiant, his lower realm left him heavily injured.

“Father!” On the ground, Ye Qiu’s heart nearly shattered.

At that moment, a voice reached his ear, “A rare opportunity, focus and comprehend the Dao.”

It was Ye Wushuang’s voice.

Ye Qiu reacted instantly, sitting cross-legged, eyes fixed on Ye Wushuang’s moves, entering a state of enlightenment.

Every move of Ye Wushuang’s was vividly imprinted in Ye Qiu’s mind.

The Nine-Turn Dragon Art, Fourth Turn Enlightenment Realm, once mastered, could boost a cultivator’s comprehension a hundredfold and allow easy replication of others’ techniques.

In other words, anyone displaying a technique in front of Ye Qiu could have it mastered by him in no time, if he chose.

This was a fearsome divine ability!

Ye Qiu’s mind cleared, immersed in enlightenment, watching Ye Wushuang’s punches and grasping their intent in his mind.

Facing the Guardian’s powerful attacks, Ye Wushuang, though wounded, didn’t retreat a step.

“Bang, bang, bang!”

Ye Wushuang punched with both hands, wide and forceful, like a landslide or tsunami, as if to shatter the world.

Truth be told, his ferocity made even the Guardian’s heart tremble.

“It’s clear Ye Wushuang’s fist technique is still rudimentary, unfinished. If he perfects it in the future, how terrifying will it be?”

The Guardian couldn’t imagine.

Suddenly, not only were Ye Wushuang’s fists cloaked in golden light, but his entire body glowed, like a god in golden armour.

At that moment, Ye Wushuang’s combat strength soared, his fist technique growing even more formidable.

“Boom!”

The Guardian was sent flying again, spitting blood, his body hurtling backward.

Ye Wushuang gave him no chance to recover, pursuing and unleashing a barrage of fists.

He fought as if possessed.

“Bang!”

The Guardian was struck again, countless bones breaking, blood gushing like a kite cut loose, his body flying sideways.

Ye Wushuang chased, aiming to finish him off.

The onlookers saw his intent, hearts in their throats, not daring to breathe.

At that moment.

“Enough!”

The Guardian roared, soaring into the sky, arms spread wide.

“Roar!”

A dragon’s cry shook the heavens.

Suddenly, a massive dragon shadow appeared behind the Guardian.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1062

The sudden turn of events stunned the crowd.

The Guardian stood in the air, a massive dragon shadow appearing behind him.

“Dragon aura!” the War God exclaimed.

Was this the dragon aura of a cultivator?

Ye Qiu paused his enlightenment, looking up at the dragon shadow with curiosity.

He noticed the dragon aura was strikingly similar to his innate true qi, just on a larger scale.

The dragon aura behind the Guardian was three zhang long, complete with dragon head, horns, eyes, whiskers, body, claws, and scales.

It was lifelike, as if a real dragon!

And this was only the beginning.

“Roar!”

The earth-shaking dragon roar continued, one after another, as more massive dragon shadows emerged behind the Guardian.

Two, three, four…

Ten.

Twenty.

Thirty.

Forty.

In no time, forty dragon auras floated behind the Guardian, and they kept coming.

Forty-one.

Forty-two.

Forty-three.

Up to forty-nine dragon auras appeared before stopping!

Forty-nine dragon auras hovered behind the Guardian, filling the sky, their roars chilling and shaking the mortal world.

The scene was utterly terrifying.

“Argh…”

Some onlookers, unable to withstand the pressure emanating from the Guardian, cried out in pain.

Others bled from their orifices.

The Guardian, holding his war spear, dragon auras swirling around him, his eyes fearsome, looked like a lofty deity.

Ye Wushuang said gravely, “King Realm mid-stage!”

What?

Ye Qiu’s heart sank. The Guardian was a mid-stage King Realm master, how could they fight?

“The Guardian’s realm is so much higher than Father’s. Can Father still win?”

Ye Qiu was deeply worried.

At the city gate, Ye Family Elder and the War God showed unprecedented solemnity.

“Ye Wushuang, forcing me to use my full strength, I must admit, you’re impressive.”

“But your cultivation is too weak.”

“Today, you won’t escape death.”

“My fate is mine, not yours.” Ye Wushuang acted, his fists charging forward.

His white robes fluttered in the wind.

Ye Wushuang unleashed thirty-six punches in one breath, golden light exploding from his fists, dominating the world with unmatched ferocity.

“Roar!”

A dragon roar sounded, a dragon shadow coiling around the war spear as the Guardian swung it.

The battle erupted.

Swish!

With the dragon aura’s aid, the spear’s edge sharpened tenfold, breaking through Ye Wushuang’s fists and striking down.

“Pfft!”

Blood sprayed from Ye Wushuang’s shoulder, his arm nearly severed.

Bones exposed, the sight was gruesome.

Yet Ye Wushuang didn’t retreat, his fists fierce and unyielding, pressing toward the Guardian.

“Swish!”

The air screeched sharply as the spear struck again.

“Pfft!”

Blood splattered, Ye Wushuang’s abdomen pierced by the spear, sending him flying back.

“Father!” Ye Qiu shouted, rushing to catch him.

But upon catching Ye Wushuang, he was knocked back.

Both crashed at the city gate.

Ye Wushuang quickly got up, turning to Ye Qiu, “You okay?”

“I’m fine,” Ye Qiu said, concerned, “Father, how are you?”

“Don’t worry, I’m not dead yet.”

Ye Wushuang stood, walking steadily forward, saying, “Guardian, I need a favour.”

“You want me to leave you an intact corpse?” the Guardian sneered coldly, “Too late.”

“If you’d killed yourself earlier, I might’ve left you whole.”

“Now, I’ll grind your bones to dust.”

“You misunderstand,” Ye Wushuang interrupted, “I’ve created a sword technique, not yet perfected. I’d like your help to refine it.”

As he spoke, a peerless sharpness erupted from Ye Wushuang, like a divine sword unsheathed.

“Roar!”

A dragon roar sounded.

Ye Wushuang released his dragon aura, thirty-six radiant dragon shadows hovering behind him.

Then, he stepped forward, appearing atop the city wall, his hands swiftly forming seals.

The thirty-six dragon shadows behind him began to emit sword-whistling sounds, as if they weren’t dragon auras but sword auras.

“Guardian, take this!”

Ye Wushuang waved his sword finger, with a “zheng,” one dragon aura turned razor-sharp, slashing through the air at the Guardian.

The Guardian countered, thrusting his spear, a terrifying aura filling the heavens.

The battle erupted.

“Zheng, zheng, zheng…”

Sword whistles rang out.

Ye Wushuang stood on the city wall, his dragon auras transforming into sword auras, slashing out beams dozens of zhang long.

Utterly fearsome.

The Guardian fought with all his might, resisting fiercely.

It lasted minutes.

“Argh…”

Suddenly, the Guardian let out a cry, flying back, his war spear severed by Ye Wushuang’s sword aura.

A blood mark appeared on his chest.

“What, the Guardian, so strong, can’t stop Ye Wushuang?”

The crowd felt chills.

In a blink, the Guardian returned, his eyes glinting coldly.

“Ye Wushuang, your strength exceeds my expectations, but this battle ends now.”

Enraged, the Guardian unleashed his ultimate move, raising his right palm, drawing all forty-nine dragon auras, then striking at Ye Wushuang.

Boom!

The forty-nine dragon auras merged into a single stream of light, aiming for Ye Wushuang’s head.

Everyone’s breath stopped.

They knew the battle was nearing its end.

“Father, you must hold on!” Ye Qiu clenched his fists, praying silently.

“Roar…”

Ye Wushuang roared, his thirty-six dragon auras turning into thirty-six massive sword auras, slashing across the heavens.

This was his ultimate killing move, perfected to the extreme. After unleashing it, Ye Wushuang spat blood, his face pale.

“Boom!”

The Guardian’s attacks were shattered by the sword auras, and he was sent flying like a cannonball, crashing into the ground, creating a deep pit.

Ye Wushuang’s strike robbed the Guardian of his fighting strength.

Now, lying in the pit, covered in countless sword wounds, the Guardian couldn’t even stand.

He couldn’t accept this outcome.

A mid-stage King Realm powerhouse, defeated.

Shock, resentment, fear…

All sorts of emotions flooded his mind.

Ye Wushuang reached out, grasping a long sword, looking down at the pit, his face brimming with killing intent.

“Ye Wushuang, you can’t kill me,” the Guardian said in panic, “I can protect a nation’s peace, I’m the Guardian…”

“Guardian isn’t your exclusive title. Kill you, and I can take your place.”

Ye Wushuang raised his sword, like a heavenly blade, and slashed down, cleaving the Guardian in two.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1063

Between heaven and earth, silence reigned.

Ye Wushuang stood atop the city wall, holding a long sword, his blood-stained white robes fluttering in the wind, unmatched in the world!

He gently extended his right palm toward the deep pit, and instantly, a tremendous suction pulled the Guardian’s corpse out.

Bang!

The Guardian’s body crashed onto the ground, split by a sword, eyes wide in death, blood flowing, staining the snow-covered ground.

A shocking sight.

It was a profoundly stunning scene.

The onlookers stood like statues, as if their heartbeats had stopped.

Ye Wushuang, at the Venerable Realm, unleashed peerless combat strength, using his self-created sword technique to kill the King Realm Guardian across realms. This battle would be etched in history!

“As expected of the God of Slaughter, no matter the odds, he can turn defeat into victory, a true miracle.”

“His self-created sword technique is terrifying, especially that final strike, it seemed to cleave the heavens…”

Dragon Maiden and the War God whispered.

They looked at Ye Wushuang, their eyes filled with excitement.

“Amitabha, Benefactor Ye is a peerless talent. It’s a pity my master cannot witness his glory,” Master Du’e said softly, hands clasped.

Ye Wuwei looked up at the figure on the wall, and at that moment, tears welled in the eyes of China’s richest man.

Joy, excitement, admiration…

All sorts of emotions surged within him.

“I knew it. As long as you’re here, the Ye family won’t fall. Big Brother, thank you.”

Ye Wuwei said silently.

“Father is too powerful!”

Ye Qiu was thrilled inside but kept his emotions in check, his face showing no trace of it.

Though blind, Longbrow真人 had sharp ears, able to gauge the battle’s outcome from the crowd’s reactions.

“Little rascal, remember? Long ago, I read your fortune.”

“I foresaw a life-and-death calamity, but the signs showed a sliver of hope from the West, a noble person coming to aid you.”

“Now it seems, that noble person is your father.”

Longbrow真人 muttered, “Little rascal, I risked my life for you. You’d better help me rebuild Dragon Tiger Mountain.”

“Deal,” Ye Qiu agreed readily.

That easy?

Longbrow真人 added, “You’ll treat me to a meal too.”

“Sure.”

“I want sixty-year-old wine.”

“No problem.”

Seeing Ye Qiu agree to everything, Longbrow真人 said, “Can you find me a couple…”

“No way.” Ye Qiu, knowing the old man’s schemes, refused outright.

“Hmph, no loyalty.”

Longbrow真人 snorted.

Elder Tang, looking at Ye Wushuang and the Guardian’s corpse, was deeply shaken.

“Ye Wushuang actually won.”

“From now on, no one in China can rival the Ye family.”

With this thought, Elder Tang said to Ye Family Elder, “Old Ye, when the Guardian was alive, he ensured national peace, deterring hidden masters from neighbouring countries.”

“Now that he’s dead, if those countries hear of it, they may not stay quiet.”

“I’m worried…”

Ye Family Elder understood and said, “Elder Tang, rest assured, the Ye family will always protect the nation.”

“If the country faces trouble, we won’t stand by.”

“Though the Guardian is dead, Wushuang remains. He’ll follow your orders.”

Elder Tang felt reassured, then smiled, “Old Ye, since Wushuang’s back, why not arrange Ye Qiu and Tangtang’s matter soon? What do you think?”

Ye Family Elder replied, “Elder Tang, though Ye Qiu is my grandson, he’s grown. His lifelong happiness depends on his own wishes.”

“If he agrees, all is well.”

“If he doesn’t, I can’t force him.”

Elder Tang was a bit disappointed, saying, “Then please ask Ye Qiu’s opinion later.”

“Alright,” Ye Family Elder nodded.

Elsewhere.

The noble families rose from the ground, looking at the Guardian’s corpse, chills running through them.

“The Guardian is dead. No one can stop Ye Wushuang now.”

“Next, he’ll settle scores with us, won’t he?”

“What do we do? I don’t want to die, sob…”

The scene was filled with despair.

They sensed death creeping closer.

“Boom!”

Suddenly, a terrifying wave surged between heaven and earth, like a fearsome beast awakening, filling everyone with dread.

“What’s happening?” Ye Wudi gripped his Great Xia Dragon Sparrow, tense.

Dragon Maiden said, “Could there be another master in the Forbidden City?”

Ye Family Elder’s face grew grave, “Besides the Guardian, the Forbidden City has a City Protector, Dragon One’s grandfather by seniority. Could it be him?”

The War God said grimly, “Wushuang is heavily injured. If another Guardian-level master appears, it’ll be bad for him.”

Elder Tang spoke, “Years ago, I met the City Protector with the Guardian. From their tone and demeanor, I could tell the Protector’s realm surpassed the Guardian’s.”

What?

The crowd was shocked.

Worry clouded their faces.

“If it’s the City Protector, Wushuang is in danger.”

“Indeed, Wushuang exhausted much to kill the Guardian. Facing a stronger master, he may not hold up.”

“Not just Wushuang, we’re all doomed. The Forbidden City is down to the City Protector alone.”

Seeing their concern, Ye Family Elder said calmly, “No need to fear at this point.”

“We came here tonight not expecting to leave alive.”

“Without Wushuang’s timely arrival, we’d already be in the underworld.”

“Now, we can only do our best and leave the rest to fate.”

Ye Wuwei nodded, “Father’s right. It’s just death, nothing to fear.”

The noble families also felt the terrifying aura, but oddly, they showed no fear, instead brimming with excitement.

Some even teared up with joy.

“This aura is too terrifying, it must be a peerless master.”

“Who’d have thought the Forbidden City had such depth, another master!”

“Great, we’re saved.”

“Ye Wushuang, you didn’t expect this, did you? Kill the Guardian, and you’ll die too…”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1064

“Boom!”

Suddenly, a thunderous roar erupted from the heavens.

The crowd looked up.

In the boundless night sky, a massive comet with a tail hundreds of zhang long plummeted toward the East China Sea.

Dazzling and brilliant.

At that moment, heavy snow swirled, fierce winds howled like wailing spirits, emitting mournful cries.

A celestial omen!

Changmei Zhenren raised his head, as if he could see, his face growing solemn.

“The Guardian’s fall has triggered a heavenly sign. The coming years may be turbulent!”

Hearing this, Tang Lao quickly asked, “Zhenren, is there a way to resolve it?”

Changmei Zhenren chuckled, “Tang Lao, I’m planning to rebuild Longhu Shan soon. I’ll need financial support.”

Tang Lao caught on instantly, “That’s easy. I can arrange for relevant departments to assist. How much is needed?”

“Not much, not much,” Changmei Zhenren said, “Ten billion will do.”

Tang Lao’s mouth twitched.

Normally, he’d give Changmei Zhenren a cold look, but circumstances were different now. He needed him, so he said, “Ten billion is a bit much, but I’ll ensure some support from the departments.”

Changmei Zhenren grinned, “Your word puts me at ease.”

Tang Lao asked again, “Zhenren, you mentioned turbulence. This matter…”

“I’ll give you eight words,” Changmei Zhenren cut in, “Ye Jia stands, nation prospers, people thrive.”

Tang Lao understood, grateful, “Thank you, Zhenren.”

“A small matter, no need for formalities.”

Meanwhile.

Thousands of miles away, in Great East.

In a pavilion within the imperial palace, an elderly man in a kimono, sitting cross-legged, suddenly opened his eyes, gazing at the sky.

Thirty seconds later.

The old man laughed, “Huaguo’s Guardian has fallen. Great East’s chance has come.”

“Summon the Emperor.”

“Prepare to act!”

At the same time.

In Great Korea.

Among towering mountains, an ancient Taoist temple stood, serene and fragrant with flowers.

Suddenly.

A figure appeared on the temple’s roof.

A man, youthful in appearance but with eyes full of worldly experience, dressed in a Taoist robe, holding a compass.

He looked skyward.

Moments later.

The man sighed in Korean, “The Eastern Guardian has fallen. A storm will soon rise.”

In southern Huaguo.

India.

At the entrance of the Kaisara Temple stood a monk.

He appeared in his forties or fifties, clad in a black kasaya, a large gold ring through his nose, a golden python as thick as an arm coiled around his neck, smiling sinisterly, “I’d like to see who can stop me from entering Huaguo now.”

Vatican.

In a resplendent hall, an elderly man in a white papal robe, wearing a golden crown and holding a golden sceptre, sat.

He was meditating when he sensed something, his eyes snapping open like divine lamps.

After a long pause, he whispered, “Xianzhi…”

“Jiaohuang!”

A melodious voice rang out, and a woman appeared in the hall.

She was young, about twenty, in a white gown, a white headscarf, and a purple crystal pendant around her neck.

Tall, with exquisite features, her blue eyes were captivating, her high nose exuding exotic charm.

Barefoot, her delicate feet exposed, her skin flawless, enough to make those with peculiar tastes kneel to kiss them.

“Jiaohuang, you called?” she asked, lips parting softly.

“I sensed something unusual just now. Did you feel it?” the Jiaohuang asked.

She nodded slightly, “The Guardian of that mysterious Eastern nation has fallen.”

“Is that so?” The Jiaohuang’s eyes flickered, “Xianzhi, you once foretold that in that Eastern nation, someone bears great destiny, able to aid me, correct?”

She nodded again, “Yes.”

The Jiaohuang instructed, “Find a chance to visit that Eastern nation. If you find that person, bring them to me.”

“Yes.”

She formed seals with her hands and vanished instantly.

In the Zijin Cheng.

The crowd stared at the sky until the comet disappeared, only then noticing the unsettling aura had vanished.

Strangely, even the wind and snow stopped, leaving the noble families in a panic.

“What’s going on?”

“Why did that powerful aura disappear?”

“Could the Zijin Cheng’s mysterious master fear Ye Wushuang and not dare show?”

“If so, we’re doomed.”

The group was deeply uneasy.

Ye Wushuang stood on the city wall, withdrawing his gaze from the sky, looking down at the noble families.

No joy, no sorrow.

Calm as still water.

The noble families didn’t dare breathe, fearing Ye Wushuang would strike next.

He said calmly, “It’s been over twenty years since I last saw you all.”

“Most of you were elders I respected, some were old friends.”

“Over twenty years ago, I, Ye Wushuang, never wronged you, yet you sent assassins after me, separating me from my wife.”

“Now that I’m back, it’s time to settle those scores.”

The noble families trembled, souls shaken.

Ye Wushuang continued, “After that turmoil, I swore, if I don’t avenge this, I’m not human.”

“Don’t dream I’ll show mercy or spare you.”

“Out of respect for you as elders and friends, I won’t make it too hard.”

“Here’s the deal: end your own lives.”

At this, the noble families collapsed, shivering.

Who, being human, doesn’t fear death?

Tang Lao wanted to persuade Ye Wushuang but, seeing his murderous aura, stayed silent.

He knew no one could sway Ye Wushuang now.

He had returned for revenge.

Yet, after a long time, none of the noble families took their lives.

Ye Wushuang’s eyes turned cold, “If you won’t end it yourselves, you may leave now.”

“I won’t stop you.”

“But later, I’ll visit each of your homes, sending your entire families to their end.”

“Choose: end it yourselves, or take your whole family with you!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1065

The noble families’ faces were ashen.

Ye Wushuang gave them two choices: end their own lives, or take their entire families with them.

Either way, death was inevitable.

Despite their usual high status and pampered lives, when faced with life and death, they were no different from ordinary people.

“What do we do?”

“Are we really all going to die here?”

“I don’t want to die…”

“Quick, beg Ye Lao and Tang Lao. If they speak for us, Ye Wushuang might spare us.”

The noble families turned to Ye Lao and Tang Lao for help.

“Ye Lao, please persuade Ye Wushuang. As long as we live, we’ll follow the Ye family’s lead.”

“Ye Lao, we’ve known each other for years, worked together. For old times’ sake, please plead for us!”

“Ye Lao…”

Ye Lao’s face was expressionless, “Everyone, if you knew this day would come, why act as you did?”

“To be honest, even if Wushuang didn’t seek revenge, I’d settle scores with you eventually.”

With no other choice, they turned to Tang Lao.

“Tang Lao, Ye Wushuang wants to kill us. Please say something!”

“If we all die, it’ll cause chaos.”

“Tang Lao, we beg you.”

To their despair, Tang Lao’s response was even colder.

“Everyone, Wushuang has given you two paths. For your families’ sake, I advise you to end it yourselves.”

“After your deaths, I’ll announce to the world that Zijin Cheng plotted rebellion, and you died protecting me.”

“As meritorious figures, I’ll award each of your families an honorary medal.”

Their hearts sank.

One family head wept, “Tang Lao, I don’t want to be a hero or receive awards. I just want to live! I just want to live!”

Tang Lao glanced coldly at the speaker, “At this moment, do you think you can still live?”

“Ending it yourself is the most dignified way.”

“If you don’t seize this chance, I’ll announce you conspired with Zijin Cheng in rebellion and died in the chaos.”

“Then, you’ll be forever nailed to the pillar of shame, cursed by millions, and your families will become pariahs, hunted by all.”

“Is that what you want?”

Despair set in.

Some trembled, others wept, and some glared at the figure on the wall, their eyes filled with deep-seated hatred.

“Everyone, time to go!” Ye Wushuang’s voice rang out again.

“Ye Wushuang, I’ll end my life, but if you touch my family, I’ll haunt you as a ghost, argh…”

An elder roared, plunging a dagger into his heart.

With one leading, others followed.

They had no choice.

Soon, over forty noble family heads lay in pools of blood.

Ye Wushuang leapt from the wall, landing lightly on the ground.

“Father, how are your injuries?” Ye Qiu asked urgently.

Ye Wushuang smiled faintly, “No matter.”

Tang Lao said, “Wushuang, Zijin Cheng still has a powerful Hucheng Ren, whose strength is no less than the Guardian’s. I’m worried…”

“No need to worry. The Hucheng Ren isn’t in Zijin Cheng now,” Ye Wushuang said.

“Oh?” Tang Lao asked, surprised, “Where is he?”

Ye Wushuang replied, “If I’m not mistaken, the Hucheng Ren left this world long ago. Otherwise, with Zijin Cheng’s people slaughtered, he would’ve appeared.”

“Left this world?” Tang Lao said, shocked, “Wushuang, you mean the Hucheng Ren is dead?”

“No,” Ye Wushuang shook his head, “A master of his level can live two or three hundred years. He wouldn’t die easily. He likely left the mortal world for the cultivation world.”

Cultivation world?

Not just Tang Lao, even Ye Qiu and others were intrigued.

Could there really be immortals in this world?

“The Hucheng Ren won’t return soon, so no need to worry, Tang Lao,” Ye Wushuang continued, “Please handle the aftermath of these family heads.”

“Alright,” Tang Lao agreed, then said, “Wushuang, with the Guardian dead, I fear neighbouring countries’ hidden masters may act. We may need your help.”

Ye Wushuang stated firmly, “In times of national crisis, as a descendant of Yanhuang, I’m duty-bound.”

“Since I killed the Guardian, it’s my responsibility.”

“Tang Lao, rest assured, the Ye family will always follow your orders.”

“I can also promise, no matter what, the Ye family won’t act like Zijin Cheng, arrogant and lawless, above royal authority.”

Tang Lao sighed in relief, smiling, “In that case, go heal your injuries. I’ll handle the rest.”

“Thank you, Tang Lao,” Ye Wushuang said.

“Tang Lao, we’ll leave this to you. I’ll take Wushuang back,” Ye Lao said, preparing to leave with Ye Wushuang and the others.

“Oh, Tang Lao, I have a request,” Ye Qiu said suddenly.

“What is it?” Tang Lao asked.

Ye Qiu said, “I hope you can seal off Zijin Cheng, leaving everything untouched. I’d like to visit later.”

Tang Lao smiled, “A small matter, leave it to me!”

“Thank you, goodbye,” Ye Qiu said, following Ye Lao and the others.

As he stepped out of Zijin Cheng’s gate, he saw Tangtang in red.

She hadn’t left.

“Ye Qiu!”

Seeing Ye Qiu emerge, Tangtang ran over, ignoring the onlookers, and threw herself into his arms, crying with joy.

Ye Qiu, embarrassed, gently pushed her away, “Why are you still here?”

“I was waiting for you,” Tangtang said, her already flushed face reddening further as others stared.

“It’s resolved, no need to worry,” Ye Qiu said.

“Mm,” Tangtang smiled, “Ye Qiu, I…”

Before she could finish, Ye Wushuang’s voice cut in, “Qiu’er, get in the car.”

“Tangtang, I’m heading back. You should too. We’ll talk later,” Ye Qiu said, quickly getting into the car.

He rode in Ye Lao’s grand Hongqi.

Ye Wuwei drove, Ye Lao sat in the front, leaving the back for Ye W Laxu and Ye Wushuang.

The car was quiet.

Everyone had a thousand words to say, but no one spoke.

After a short drive, Ye Qiu suddenly sensed something wrong and turned to see Ye Wushuang’s black hair now shockingly white, like snow.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1066

“Father!”

Ye Qiu let out a startled cry.

Hearing the sound, Old Master Ye, sitting in the front row, hurriedly turned around. When he saw Ye Wushuang’s head full of white hair, he was terrified and said, “Wushuang, what’s wrong with you?”

Ye Wushuang smiled, “I’m fine, pfft…”

A mouthful of blood spurted out.

“Father!”

Ye Qiu quickly pressed a palm on Ye Wushuang’s shoulder, channeling a wisp of innate true qi into his body.

However, Ye Wushuang’s condition did not improve; the blood at the corner of his mouth flowed even more.

“Wuwei, stop the car,” Old Master Ye ordered.

“Don’t stop,” Ye Wushuang said firmly, “Go home.”

Ye Wuwei had no choice but to floor the accelerator, and the car shot forward like an arrow.

“Qiu’er, I…” Before Ye Wushuang could finish, he fell into a coma.

Ye Qiu quickly grasped Ye Wushuang’s pulse. Upon checking it, his heart sank to the bottom.

“Ye Qiu, how is Wushuang?” Old Master Ye asked.

Ye Qiu replied, “Father’s internal injuries are severe, with blood clots in his organs, multiple damaged meridians, and…”

“And what?” Old Master Ye pressed.

“And, Father’s vitality is rapidly fading, he might…”

Ye Qiu’s voice choked, unable to continue.

Old Master Ye understood the meaning behind Ye Qiu’s words and immediately took out his phone, saying, “I’ll call the medical experts from the Health Bureau to treat Wushuang.”

“No need to call them. If even I can’t heal Father, they won’t be able to do anything either.”

As Ye Qiu spoke, he took out a needle case, pulled out a seven-inch golden needle, and inserted it into the Baihui acupoint on Ye Wushuang’s head.

With a flick of his fingers, the needle vibrated rapidly, emitting a humming sound.

Ye Qiu’s other hand held Ye Wushuang’s pulse, channeling innate true qi into his body to treat the internal injuries.

After a while, Old Master Ye asked again, “Ye Qiu, how is it?”

“The internal injuries have improved slightly, and some meridians have been repaired, but it’s no use,” Ye Qiu said. “Father likely suffered a backlash injury.”

“Backlash?” Old Master Ye was stunned. “Wushuang was fine, how could he suffer a backlash?”

“If I’m not mistaken, it’s because Father used that self-created sword technique during his fight with the Guardian,” Ye Qiu said. “That sword technique is extremely powerful, allowing Father to kill a King-level expert across realms.”

“Though the Guardian is dead, Father also suffered a backlash.”

“In fact, the moment the Guardian died, Father probably couldn’t hold on any longer, but he endured until now with sheer willpower.”

Ye Qiu’s voice choked again as he spoke.

He then took out two more golden needles and inserted them into the Taiyang acupoints on both sides of Ye Wushuang’s forehead.

With a flick of his fingers, the needles vibrated with a humming sound.

Ye Qiu checked Ye Wushuang’s pulse again and found that his life force was still fading, with no improvement.

Without hesitation, Ye Qiu took out seven more golden needles and inserted them around Ye Wushuang’s heart.

In the car behind, Ye Wudi noticed the sudden acceleration of the red flag car in front, sensing something unusual. He sped up and soon caught up, the two cars driving side by side.

Ye Wudi rolled down his window and shouted, “Second Brother, why did you suddenly speed up?”

“Wushuang is seriously injured,” Ye Wuwei said gravely.

What?

Ye Wudi’s face changed drastically.

At that moment, Master Longbrow poked his head out from the back window and asked, “Little rascal, how’s your father?”

Ye Qiu suddenly remembered that Master Longbrow had also suffered a backlash injury before and hurriedly asked, “My father has a severe backlash injury, old man, do you have any solutions?”

“A backlash injury can’t be cured, it depends on fate…”

Halfway through, Master Longbrow suddenly recalled something and asked, “Little rascal, where’s that top-grade white jade coffin?”

“If your treatment doesn’t work, you can put Wushuang in that coffin.”

“That coffin can sustain his life for a bit longer.”

Ye Qiu asked, “Where’s the War God?”

“The War God is in the car behind, saying he needs to return to the Underworld Palace first,” Ye Wudi replied.

“Grandfather, call the War God immediately, tell him we’re not going back to the Ye family, we’re heading straight to the Underworld Palace,” Ye Qiu said.

Old Master Ye hurriedly called the War God.

Ye Wuwei immediately changed direction, heading straight for the Underworld Palace base.

On the way, Ye Qiu didn’t stop for a moment, using various acupuncture techniques to treat Ye Wushuang, but the results were poor.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the Underworld Palace base.

Tang Fei and Long Ye were already waiting, along with Ye Dabao and his mother.

They had been prepared to leave the capital at any moment, but the situation changed when the people from the Forbidden City died. After receiving the War God’s call, Tang Fei had arranged everything as instructed.

“Ye Qiu, follow me quickly.”

Tang Fei led Ye Qiu straight to a secret chamber in the Underworld Palace.

Inside the chamber, besides the top-grade white jade coffin, various medical supplies were prepared.

“Everyone else, leave. Grandfather, old man, you stay.”

The others immediately complied.

Ye Qiu then asked Master Longbrow, “Old man, are you sure the top-grade white jade coffin can sustain my father’s life?”

“I’m sure,” Master Longbrow said. “This white jade coffin is made of extraordinary warm jade, it can definitely sustain Wushuang’s life for a while.”

“How long can it last?” Ye Qiu asked.

Master Longbrow pondered for a moment and said, “A backlash injury is unlike ordinary injuries. Given Wushuang’s condition, it can probably last three days.”

“Alright, I understand.”

Ye Qiu placed Ye Wushuang on a simple camp bed, then removed his white shirt and began treatment.

He first used Maoshan talismans to quickly heal Ye Wushuang’s external injuries.

Then, he fully repaired Ye Wushuang’s damaged meridians and cleared the blood clots in his organs.

After doing all this, Ye Qiu didn’t stop.

He took out golden needles, disinfected them quickly, and performed over a dozen acupuncture techniques in one go.

Soon, Ye Wushuang’s body was covered with golden needles, resembling a porcupine.

Half an hour passed.

Old Master Ye couldn’t help but ask, “Ye Qiu, how is Wushuang?”

“It’s not optimistic,” Ye Qiu said honestly. “Father’s backlash injury is more severe than the one the old man suffered last time, and his vitality is still fading.”

“Even with my medical skills, I can’t cure it.”

“Now, we can only hope the top-grade white jade coffin can sustain Father’s life.”

Ye Qiu finished speaking, lifted the barely conscious Ye Wushuang, and placed him in the coffin.

He kept holding Ye Wushuang’s pulse, unsure if the top-grade white jade coffin would work.

After a while, Ye Qiu noticed that Ye Wushuang’s vitality was still fading rapidly, with no sign of stopping.

“No good, the top-grade white jade coffin isn’t working!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1067

The top-grade white jade coffin didn’t work?

Master Longbrow was stunned, then said, “That’s impossible.”

“Based on my previous observations, the coffin should definitely work, otherwise I wouldn’t have been so eager to transport it back to Dragon Tiger Mountain.”

“Could it be that your father’s injuries are too severe, so it’s ineffective?”

Ye Qiu frantically channelled innate true qi into Ye Wushuang’s body, yet the life force within Ye Wushuang continued to fade.

What should he do?

Ye Qiu’s face turned pale with anxiety.

The situation was extremely critical.

Without hesitation, Ye Qiu took out golden needles and performed the Heaven-Defying Nine Needles technique, inserting three needles into Ye Wushuang’s body in succession.

After the three needles, Ye Wushuang’s condition showed no improvement.

His life force was still fading.

Ye Qiu suddenly thought of something and rushed out of the secret chamber, asking Ye Wuwei, “Second Uncle, where’s my box?”

“In the car,” Ye Wudi replied.

Whoosh!

Ye Qiu’s body turned into a streak of light, swiftly entering the car, opening the box, and returning to the secret chamber with a thousand-year-old He Shou Wu in his arms.

Ye Qiu broke off a piece of the thousand-year-old He Shou Wu, crushed it into powder, and fed it to Ye Wushuang with warm water.

Then, he placed both hands on Ye Wushuang’s shoulders, once again channelling innate true qi.

After a moment, Ye Qiu checked Ye Wushuang’s pulse and was shocked.

The life force continued to fade.

In that instant, Ye Qiu felt as if he had been struck by five thunderbolts, his face as pale as paper.

Though his medical skills were unparalleled, Ye Wushuang’s backlash injury was neither a complex illness nor something with a known cure.

Ye Qiu felt despair.

He felt utterly useless.

As the Medical Saint, he had saved countless patients, yet he couldn’t save his own father, a bitter irony.

Sensing the heavy atmosphere, Master Longbrow sighed and said, “Human life is governed by fate, everything is destined…”

“If fate is decided by the heavens, then this time, I’ll fight the heavens,” Ye Qiu said, stepping into the coffin.

He helped Ye Wushuang sit up, then sat cross-legged behind him, placing both palms against Ye Wushuang’s back, and began to operate the Nine-Revolution Dragon Technique.

Buzz!

Golden light radiated from Ye Qiu’s body.

He guided innate true qi into Ye Wushuang’s body, using the cultivation method of the Nine-Revolution Dragon Technique to circulate the qi through Ye Wushuang’s eight extraordinary meridians.

Ye Qiu hoped to use the innate true qi to stimulate the little remaining strength in Ye Wushuang’s body, attempting to activate his life force.

The result was disappointing.

The innate true qi failed to activate Ye Wushuang’s life force, but after circulating through the meridians for two cycles using the Nine-Revolution Dragon Technique, Ye Qiu noticed a slight improvement in Ye Wushuang’s condition.

The rapidly fading life force had stopped, with the last trace lingering around the heart, protecting Ye Wushuang’s heart meridian.

“The Nine-Revolution Dragon Technique is effective for Father.”

Overjoyed, Ye Qiu continued to run the Nine-Revolution Dragon Technique for two more cycles.

This time, there was no effect.

“I need to find other ways to save Father.”

Ye Qiu gently laid Ye Wushuang back down in the top-grade white jade coffin and stepped out.

“Ye Qiu, how is Wushuang?” Old Master Ye asked.

“He still has a trace of life force, no immediate danger,” Ye Qiu replied.

Old Master Ye’s face lit up, and he asked, “How long can Wushuang hold on?”

“Two days should be fine,” Ye Qiu said.

Two days!

The joy on Old Master Ye’s face vanished instantly. As the head of the capital’s top family, he quickly regained his composure and asked gravely, “Ye Qiu, is there a way to save your father?”

Ye Qiu said, “I’ve tried countless treatment methods, but a backlash injury is beyond the scope of medical treatment. In other words, medical skills alone cannot save Father.”

What?

Old Master Ye’s face paled, his voice trembling, “So, Wushuang only has… a dead end?”

“No, I will never let Father die,” Ye Qiu said, looking at the comatose Ye Wushuang in the coffin, clenching his fists, his eyes red. “I will defy the heavens to extend his life.”

“Defy the heavens to extend his life?” Old Master Ye sensed from the words alone that this method was no simple feat and immediately said, “Ye Qiu, is defying the heavens to extend his life dangerous?”

“Of course it’s dangerous,” Master Longbrow said. “Defying the heavens to extend life means seizing longevity from the heavens, an extremely perilous act. Even if successful, the little rascal will pay a great price.”

“Will it endanger his life?” Old Master Ye asked.

“Of course,” Master Longbrow said. “If it fails, both of them could die.”

Old Master Ye immediately declared, “Ye Qiu, I don’t agree with this.”

“I know you want to save Wushuang, but if saving him puts you in great danger, I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

“I believe even if Wushuang woke up, he wouldn’t allow you to do this.”

Ye Qiu was resolute, “Grandfather, as a son, if there’s a way to save my father, I won’t hesitate, no matter the danger.”

“As a doctor, if there’s even a sliver of a chance to save a patient’s life, I won’t give up, no matter the danger.”

“Grandfather, don’t try to persuade me, my mind is made up, no one can stop me.”

“All you need to do is support me unconditionally and assist me.”

“Besides, I successfully extended General Bai’s life before, and this time, I won’t fail either.”

“If you’re still worried, you can ask the old man. He once said I’m not destined to die young.”

Old Master Ye asked Master Longbrow, “You said that?”

“Yes,” Master Longbrow nodded slightly, saying, “Ye Qiu’s fate is extraordinary, his luck is strong, he’s not destined to die young.”

Old Master Ye trusted Master Longbrow deeply. After pondering for a while, he said, “Ye Qiu, I can agree to let you defy the heavens to extend Wushuang’s life, but you must promise me one thing.”

“If something goes wrong during the treatment, or if it becomes clear it’s hopeless, you must stop.”

“No matter what, you cannot trade your life for Wushuang’s.”

“If you do that, even if Wushuang survives, he’ll never find peace.”

“Do you understand me?”

Ye Qiu nodded, “I understand.”

“Good,” Old Master Ye asked, “When will you treat Wushuang?”

“I need to make some preparations, I’ll start tomorrow night,” Ye Qiu said.

“What do you need me to do?” Old Master Ye asked.

“There’s one thing I need your help with right now,” Ye Qiu said. “Stay here and keep Father company.”

“Alright,” Old Master Ye agreed immediately.

“Old man, you stay here too and keep an eye on my father. If anything urgent happens, call me,” Ye Qiu said as he left.

“Where are you going?” Master Longbrow asked.

Without turning back, Ye Qiu said, “I’m going to the Forbidden City.”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1068

As Ye Qiu emerged from the secret chamber, he was immediately surrounded by Ye Wudi and others waiting outside.

“Ye Qiu, how’s Big Brother?”

“Has he woken up?”

“What’s his condition?”

Ye Qiu raised his hand, signalling for silence, then said, “Father fought beyond his level and suffered a severe backlash. He’s now hanging on by his last breath.”

Hearing this, everyone’s faces showed grief.

They hadn’t seen Ye Wushuang in over twenty years, and now, their reunion might soon turn into a permanent farewell.

“Ye Qiu, you can save Big Brother, right?” Ye Wudi asked, his eyes red.

“Yes,” Ye Qiu replied firmly.

At once, everyone felt a slight relief.

Ye Qiu said, “I need your help with some things now.”

“Third Uncle, Third Aunt, please stay here and protect my father’s safety.”

“Though this is the Underworld Palace base with tight security, we must be cautious.”

Ye Wudi and Dragon Lady nodded immediately, “Alright!”

Ye Qiu turned to Ye Wuwei, “Second Uncle, please find a clean set of clothes for my father. Also, I need as many hundred-year-old medicinal herbs as possible.”

“No problem,” Ye Wuwei agreed.

Master Duer asked, “Donor Ye, is there anything this old monk can do to help?”

Ye Qiu shook his head, “Not for now, Master. You can rest.”

“This old monk will stay here to pray for Donor Ye’s father,” Master Duer said, sitting cross-legged on the ground nearby, softly chanting scriptures.

“Thank you, Master.”

Ye Qiu expressed his gratitude, then said to Tang Fei and Long Ye, “You two, come with me.”

As the three took a few steps, they ran into the War God.

“Ye Qiu, where are you off to?” the War God asked.

“I need Tang Fei and Long Ye’s help with something,” Ye Qiu replied, then added, “I’d like you to arrange a fighter jet to pick up my mother from Jiangzhou.”

“A small matter, I’ll arrange it right away,” the War God said, then asked, “How’s Wushuang doing?”

“Not optimistic. Whether he lives or dies depends on tomorrow night’s treatment,” Ye Qiu said. “War God, I have urgent matters to handle, I’ll go now.”

The War God waved his hand, “Go ahead!”

Ye Qiu led Tang Fei and Long Ye out of the Underworld Palace base and began assigning tasks.

“Old Tang, you know the capital well. I need you to find a craftsman to make forty-nine lanterns, the plainest kind, nothing fancy. Also, get me some yellow paper for drawing talismans.”

“Long Ye, find me a black dog and a white rooster, both without a single stray hair.”

“I need these by tomorrow evening.”

“Any problems?”

Tang Fei and Long Ye replied in unison, “No problem.”

“Good, thank you for your efforts,” Ye Qiu said, then drove straight to the Forbidden City.

On the way, he called Cao Qingcheng.

At Dragon Gate headquarters, Cao Qingcheng, Qinglong, and others led three thousand elite Dragon Gate members, fully prepared to leave the capital at any moment.

Seeing Ye Qiu’s call, Cao Qingcheng’s heart leapt with joy, and she quickly answered, “Hello, Ye Qiu…”

“Qingcheng, no need to leave the capital. Dragon One is dead,” Ye Qiu said.

Cao Qingcheng was both shocked and excited, asking, “How did Dragon One die?”

“I’ll explain later. Right now, I need your help with something urgent,” Ye Qiu instructed. “I need hundred-year-old medicinal herbs, as many as possible, by tomorrow afternoon. Have Xiao Zhan deliver them to the Underworld Palace base.”

Cao Qingcheng replied, “Yes.”

“I have other matters, I’ll hang up now,” Ye Qiu said, ending the call and dialling Qian Jinglan.

In Jiangzhou, at Ye Qiu’s home, Qian Jinglan, Lin Jingzhi, Bai Bing, Qin Wan, Su Luoying, and Su Xiaoxiao were sitting on the living room sofa, watching the Spring Festival Gala.

It was New Year’s Eve, a time for family reunions.

Though Lin Jingzhi tried to lighten the mood, everyone was forcing smiles, their brows heavy with worry.

They all knew that Ye Qiu, far away in the capital, was facing a life-or-death battle.

They didn’t know if he would return alive.

Suddenly, Qian Jinglan’s eyelid twitched violently, and a strong sense of unease surged in her heart.

“Qiu’er…”

Qian Jinglan murmured, tears sliding down her cheeks.

A mother worries when her son travels far, especially when Ye Qiu’s journey was fraught with danger.

“Auntie, what’s wrong?” Lin Jingzhi, the most attentive, had been watching Qian Jinglan’s emotions. Seeing her tears, she asked urgently.

At the same time, a sense of foreboding rose in her heart.

“I just felt an overwhelming sense of unease, my heart’s racing. I have a feeling something’s happened to Qiu’er,” Qian Jinglan said, tears streaming down uncontrollably.

The other women’s eyes also glistened with tears.

Lin Jingzhi, relatively calm, comforted, “Auntie, don’t worry, maybe your feeling is wrong.”

“It’s not wrong,” Qian Jinglan said, wiping her tears. “Over twenty years ago, the night something happened to Qiu’er’s father, I felt this same unease.”

“They say blood relatives are connected, and when life and death are at stake, family members sense it.”

“I think Qiu’er, he…”

Beep beep beep—

The phone on the table suddenly rang, interrupting Qian Jinglan.

Lin Jingzhi glanced at it and saw the caller ID: Son!

“It’s Ye Qiu!”

Lin Jingzhi exclaimed, quickly grabbing the phone and handing it to Qian Jinglan.

Qian Jinglan took the phone, staring at the caller ID, hesitated, then shakily pressed the answer button and put it on speaker.

“Is it Qiu’er?” Qian Jinglan’s voice trembled as she spoke.

The other women held their breath, fearing they’d hear news of Ye Qiu’s death.

“Mum, it’s me.”

The familiar voice brought tears of joy to everyone.

Lin Jingzhi and Bai Bing exchanged a glance, then hugged each other, crying.

Ye Qiu’s voice came again, “Mum, the Forbidden City is gone, we’re all alive, and I have good news: Father’s back.”

“What did you say?” Qian Jinglan stood up, stunned, and asked loudly.

Ye Qiu said, “Father’s alive, he’s back.”

At this, Qian Jinglan cried even harder. After waiting over twenty years, the one she longed for had finally returned.

Ye Qiu continued, “Father destroyed the Forbidden City, but he was injured in the battle. He’s now recovering at the Underworld Palace.”

“I’ve asked the War God to send a fighter jet to Jiangzhou to pick you up.”

“Mum, get ready and come to the capital quickly!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1069

The capital.

As Ye Qiu ended his call with Qian Jinglan, his car had already reached the Forbidden City.

He had come here in a hurry to see if the Forbidden City held any treasures that could help him save Ye Wushuang.

Ye Qiu thought to himself that the Forbidden City, as the most powerful force in the world, with so many cultivators, must have a collection of rare and extraordinary treasures.

After getting out of the car, Ye Qiu glanced ahead and saw that the Forbidden City was heavily guarded by soldiers.

He strode towards the city gate.

However, as soon as he reached the entrance, several sentries stopped him.

“Halt!”

One sentry shouted expressionlessly, “Old Tang ordered that no one is allowed to enter, please leave!”

The other sentries stared at Ye Qiu sharply, their right hands resting on the guns at their waists, ready to act if he made any sudden moves.

“I’m from the Underworld Palace.”

Ye Qiu took out his credentials, handed them to the sentry, and said, “I need to go in to handle some business, please make an exception, brothers.”

The sentry didn’t even glance at Ye Qiu’s credentials and said sternly, “Old Tang said no one is allowed to enter, or they’ll be killed without mercy.”

These men were just following orders, so Ye Qiu didn’t want to make things difficult for them. He called Old Tang on the spot, and only then was he allowed to enter the Forbidden City.

The traces of the great battle were still visible, but not a single corpse was in sight, likely cleaned up by Old Tang’s men.

Ye Qiu went straight to the main hall of the Forbidden City.

Upon entering, he was stunned.

Looking up, he saw a dragon throne made of pure gold, majestic and imposing, placed in the Golden Hall.

Then, he noticed five massive bronze pillars, each engraved with golden five-clawed dragons.

He also saw that the floor was paved with white marble.

Additionally, the hall was filled with various gold, silver, and jade artifacts.

If valued in monetary terms, the items in this hall were worth at least ten billion.

Yet, Ye Qiu’s expression remained calm. After a quick scan, he left the hall and entered another.

The second hall was even more remarkable.

At its entrance grew a dozen ancient cypress trees, each as thick as a bathtub, their trunks charred black.

Clearly, these thousand-year-old cypresses had been struck by lightning.

Their vitality was tenacious; they hadn’t died, and new green buds had sprouted at their tips.

“Good thing I didn’t bring that old man, or he’d go crazy seeing these ancient cypresses,” Ye Qiu thought, relieved.

These thousand-year-old cypresses were thunderstruck wood, perfect material for crafting magical artifacts, irresistibly tempting for Master Longbrow.

Then, Ye Qiu’s gaze fell on the hall’s entrance.

Though less grand than the first hall, it was supported by nine golden nanmu pillars.

He also noticed a large water vat in the southeast corner of the hall.

The vat, cast in bronze, had animal heads with rings on both sides.

Ancient and weathered.

“A Taiping vat!” Ye Qiu said softly.

In ancient times, wealthy households placed water vats in their courtyards to ward off evil and ensure safety.

It was said that the Forbidden City, prone to fires in ancient times, had 365 Taiping vats made by imperial order, filled with water to quickly extinguish fires and ensure safety.

Ye Qiu pushed open the vermilion gate, scanned the hall, and found it similar to the first, filled with countless gold, silver, and jade artifacts, even bowls, chopsticks, and wine vessels made of pure gold and top-grade white jade.

“Damn extravagant,” Ye Qiu muttered under his breath, then turned to leave.

Though valuable, these items didn’t interest him.

He entered another hall.

The Forbidden City, once the imperial city, was vast and majestic, with dozens of halls.

Ye Qiu spent half an hour exploring them all.

Without exception, each hall was similar, filled with gold, silver, jade artifacts, antiques, and paintings—at least tens of thousands of treasures.

To put it bluntly, the Forbidden City was a massive treasure vault!

But Ye Qiu hadn’t found a single item he was looking for.

“That’s not right. With so many cultivators in the Forbidden City, how could there not be a few treasures that catch my eye?”

“Like thousand-year-old spiritual herbs, martial arts manuals, divine weapons, or elixirs…”

“Wait!”

Ye Qiu suddenly realised he hadn’t found where Dragon One had been in seclusion.

“Dragon One and the others were in seclusion here for years; how could they leave no trace?”

“There must be a hidden place in the Forbidden City I haven’t found.”

Ye Qiu began exploring the Forbidden City again, this time slowly, leaving no corner unchecked.

Finally, he stopped in front of a stone stele.

The stele, about eight metres tall, three metres wide, and a foot thick, stood on the back of a bronze tortoise.

Ye Qiu glanced at it; the stele was covered in dense inscriptions, chronicling six hundred years of the Forbidden City’s major events.

He stopped here because he noticed many footprints on the ground in front of the bronze tortoise.

The Forbidden City barred outsiders, meaning these footprints could only belong to its inhabitants.

“Could there be something off with this stele?”

Ye Qiu circled the stele but found nothing unusual besides the footprints.

Then, he activated his Heavenly Eye.

Soon, he spotted something.

“I see.”

Ye Qiu approached the bronze tortoise, channelled inner strength into his fingertip, and pressed it into the tortoise’s left eye.

The tortoise’s eye sank in.

The next second, the stele trembled, and the bronze tortoise slowly moved back three feet.

A tunnel appeared in Ye Qiu’s view.

Without hesitation, he stepped into the tunnel, descending the stairs.

The tunnel was over two metres wide and about three metres high, with tung oil lamps every three metres on the walls.

Though underground, it wasn’t damp or eerie; it felt warm, like being in a heated room.

The tunnel stretched a hundred metres.

At its end was a massive bronze door.

The door was engraved with a lifelike, majestic dragon head.

Ye Qiu searched but found no mechanism, so he decided to use brute force to open it.

He placed both hands on the bronze door, activated the Nine-Revolution Dragon Technique, focused all his strength into his palms, and pushed with all his might.

“Open!”

Boom—

The bronze door slowly opened under Ye Qiu’s force…

Miracle Doctor Chapter 1070

After the bronze door opened, Ye Qiu stood at the entrance and glanced inside, his face instantly filled with shock.

At that moment, his eyes beheld a vast expanse of buildings.

One grand hall after another, majestic and imposing, resembling an underground Forbidden City.

Tens of thousands of tung oil lamps, like a sky full of stars, illuminated the place as if it were daytime.

In the centre, a path paved with bluestone stretched out.

Ye Qiu’s heart raced with excitement; he had a strong premonition that these halls must contain treasures.

Following the path, he arrived at the first grand hall.

Above the vermilion gate hung a bronze plaque inscribed with two characters, “Treasure Vault.”

Ye Qiu pushed open the door, and immediately, a dazzling array of colours met his eyes.

Inside the hall, piles of gems were stacked.

Sapphires, rubies, emeralds, golden cat’s eyes, and exquisite Hetian jade.

There were even over a hundred natural night pearls, each the size of a copper coin, emitting an enchanting glow.

Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, every colour of gem was present.

Countless in number.

They were casually piled on the hall’s floor, as if they were mere rubbish.

Hiss!

Ye Qiu gasped.

He couldn’t imagine how much money these gems would fetch if sold.

Undoubtedly, it would be an astronomical sum.

“Fortunately, those old fellows in the Forbidden City are obsessed with immortality and care little for wealth, otherwise these treasures would have been squandered long ago.”

Ye Qiu secretly rejoiced, then quickly left and arrived at the second grand hall.

Looking up, the bronze plaque read two characters: Porcelain Vault.

“Could it be filled with porcelain?”

Curious, Ye Qiu pushed open the door, and as expected, the hall was filled with porcelain.

The first thing he saw was a pair of porcelain vases, about three metres tall, transparent as water, their white bodies adorned with blue patterns, elegant and vibrant.

“Jingdezhen blue-and-white porcelain!”

Ye Qiu recognised them at once, unable to suppress his amazement.

“Such blue-and-white porcelain vases would be the centrepiece of any museum.”

“At an auction, they could fetch tens of billions.”

“No, at least a hundred billion!”

Besides the pair of vases, there were countless bottles, jars, porcelain flowerpots, bowls, cups, and plates.

Too many to count.

Moreover, these porcelains were exquisitely crafted, breathtakingly beautiful.

Ye Qiu picked up a few porcelain bowls from the floor and noticed their significant origins, all imperial wares from renowned kilns, each bearing an emperor’s reign mark at the base.

Suddenly, a set of white porcelain tea ware caught his attention.

He walked over, picked up a teacup, and saw it was a tribute from the Ru Kiln during Emperor Huizong’s reign in the Song Dynasty.

“Good stuff, I’ll take this back for the old man to use for tea.”

Ye Qiu set down the teacup, left, and arrived at the third grand hall.

“Weapons Vault!”

Seeing the three characters on the bronze plaque, Ye Qiu’s heart stirred with excitement.

Weapons held an innate allure for martial artists, much like beautiful women naturally attract men.

Of course, some martial artists cared little for weapons, but they were as rare as men uninterested in women.

Eagerly, Ye Qiu pushed open the door, and instantly, a sharp aura hit him.

It sent chills through his body.

Unafraid, Ye Qiu stepped into the hall and looked around, seeing countless wooden racks of varying sizes.

Each rack held a weapon.

Swords, broadswords, spears, bows, meteor hammers, Fangtian halberds.

All eighteen types of weapons were present.

There were thousands in total.

Ye Qiu examined them and felt a bit disappointed.

Though extraordinary, these weapons paled in comparison to his Imperial Sword Chixiao.

He left the Weapons Vault and arrived at the fourth grand hall, the Secret Manual Vault.

This hall was the largest.

Upon entering, Ye Qiu saw countless secret manuals, not even placed on shelves but scattered on the floor, piled like mountains.

Some manuals were stored in wooden boxes.

They filled the entire hall.

Ye Qiu estimated there were at least hundreds of thousands of martial arts manuals.

He flipped through a few and found they were advanced techniques from major sects.

For an ordinary person, mastering just one or two would secure a spot among the top Tiger List experts, but for the current Ye Qiu, these manuals were like scrap paper.

Suddenly, several dozen neatly arranged wooden boxes in a corner caught his eye, each locked.

Ye Qiu approached one, forcefully broke the lock, and opened it, revealing a manual inside.

“Wudang True Martial Fist.”

Could these boxes all contain Wudang manuals?

A thought struck him, and he quickly grabbed a few more manuals, confirming they were all from Wudang.

Not just this box, but all the others held Wudang manuals as well.

“It seems the theft at Wudang Mountain was indeed the work of the Forbidden City.”

Ye Qiu decided he would arrange to return these manuals to Wudang Mountain, fulfilling his promise to Priest Chongxu and clearing his debt to them.

Leaving the Secret Manual Vault, he arrived at the fifth grand hall.

Above the main gate hung a plaque with three characters: Elixir Vault.

This hall intrigued Ye Qiu the most.

Firstly, Ye Wushuang was in critical condition, and he sought a cure for her.

If he could find a peerless elixir here, he wouldn’t need to resort to life-defying techniques.

Secondly, as a skilled traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, he understood the immense value of elixirs.

Lastly, he believed the Forbidden City, the world’s most powerful force, must hold many treasures.

His guess was correct.

Upon entering, a rich medicinal fragrance enveloped him. Looking around, the hall was filled with herbs.

Thirty-year-old herbs were commonplace, hundred-year-old herbs numbered in the hundreds, and there were dozens of three-hundred-year-old herbs.

Regrettably, no thousand-year-old spiritual herbs were found.

Along the walls stood numerous wooden racks, each holding a redwood box, hundreds in total.

Ye Qiu opened one and found a prescription inside.

Written on parchment with yellowed ink, it was clearly ancient, bearing an imperial seal in the bottom left corner.

He checked all the boxes and found each prescription was similar.

“These must be prescriptions preserved from ancient courts, but unfortunately, none describe a cure for backlash injuries.”

Ye Qiu sighed, left the Elixir Vault, and arrived at the sixth grand hall.

“Huh?”

Ye Qiu let out a surprised sound, noticing that the sixth hall was different from the others.
