 Miracle Doctor Chapter 671

When Qian Duoduo mentioned Ma Dong, a flicker of fear passed through his eyes. He continued, “The Ma Group is mainly in real estate, with total assets in the hundreds of billions. For the past decade, Ma Dong’s father has firmly held the title of Suzhou-Hangzhou’s richest man.”

“Not only that, Ma Dong’s father is a regular on the Forbes list, with a personal net worth of tens of billions.”

“Ma Dong, though, is just a spoiled brat, doing whatever he wants because of his family’s money.”

“A couple of years ago, his father gave him 500 million to start a jewelry company. He made a decent chunk of cash—rumor has it his net worth is now over a billion.”

“That’s why the rich kids in Suzhou-Hangzhou all hail Ma Dong as a young business leader.”

Qian Duoduo got worked up at this point, “Damn it, he even stole my parking spot. If he weren’t richer than me, I’d have beaten him up.”

“Oh, by the way, cousin, watch out for this Ma Dong.”

Qian Duoduo suddenly warned Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu brushed it off, “Just a rich kid—what’s there to watch out for?”

Qian Duoduo explained, “You don’t know—Ma Dong’s got ties in both the legal and shady worlds. He’s petty as hell and holds grudges. Try not to cross him.”

“Alright, let’s find a spot to park already.”

Ye Qiu didn’t take Ma Dong seriously at all. Forget the son of Suzhou-Hangzhou’s richest— even the national richest’s kid wouldn’t faze him.

Could this Ma Dong outshine Bai Yujing’s Xiao Qingdi?

After Qian Duoduo parked, he led Ye Qiu and Lin Jingzhi into the bar.

At the entrance, Ye Qiu frowned slightly.

Flashing lights.

The noisy air reeked of smoke and booze.

The music blared loud enough to deafen, with young men and women twisting their hips and waists to the beat in a frenzy.

Scantily clad women mingled with the guys, teasing them with suggestive moves.

“So loud—want to switch spots?” Ye Qiu wasn’t a fan of the bar vibe.

“We’re here already, no point switching,” Lin Jingzhi said, pulling him inside.

As the trio stepped in, they drew eyes.

Mostly on Lin Jingzhi, though.

Few girls rocked a qipao in a bar. Lin Jingzhi’s stood out, hugging her perfect figure. Paired with her stunning face and sultry charm, she instantly caught the attention of plenty of eager onlookers.

“Damn, that chick’s hot.”

“No kidding—jealous of the guy next to her.”

“Did that dude save the galaxy in his last life to score a woman that gorgeous?”

“She’s too fine—I’d trade ten years of my life for one night with her.”

“As if anyone wouldn’t.”

“Hahaha…”

A group of guys laughed crudely.

Lin Jingzhi didn’t spare them a glance.

Seeing Ye Qiu’s distaste for the noise, Qian Duoduo found a quiet booth, and the three settled in.

“Cousin, what’ll you drink?” Qian Duoduo said, “They’ve got everything here.”

“Whatever’s fine.”

At that, Qian Duoduo snapped his fingers, and a waiter hurried over.

“Sir, what can I do for you?” the waiter asked.

“Two bottles of ’82 Lafite,” Qian Duoduo ordered.

“Right away.” The waiter’s tone grew respectful—two ’82 Lafites meant a nice commission.

“Wait,” Ye Qiu stopped him, turning to Qian Duoduo, “I don’t drink Lafite.”

“Huh?” Qian Duoduo blinked, surprised, “What do you like then, cousin?”

“Two bottles of regular Penfolds red,” Ye Qiu said.

Qian Duoduo hesitated, “Cousin, isn’t Penfolds a bit low-end?”

“It’s just us—why care about status?” Ye Qiu told the waiter, “Go get it.”

“Yes, sir.”

The waiter walked off, muttering inwardly, “Bunch of broke losers, coming to a bar with no money.”

Ye Qiu didn’t avoid Lafite for no reason—most ’82 Lafite sold in domestic bars was fake.

The ’82 vintage from the winery was limited—how could it be everywhere?

Even if real, two bottles in a place like this would run 200,000 to 300,000 yuan.

Another big reason he passed? To save Qian Duoduo cash.

He didn’t want this lapdog splurging.

Regular Penfolds? A couple hundred for two bottles.

The three sipped and chatted.

“Got a date set for your match with the Korean medical sage Li Zhengxi?” Lin Jingzhi asked.

“Not yet,” Ye Qiu replied, “Waiting on Elder Zhang’s word. Per Li Zhengxi’s challenge, it’s within a month.”

“Cousin, you confident about this?” Qian Duoduo asked.

Ye Qiu smiled faintly, “Ask your sister-in-law.”

Qian Duoduo turned to Lin Jingzhi.

She grinned, “Ye Qiu never bets without a sure win.”

Qian Duoduo said enviously, “Cousin, if you win, you’ll be the first medical sage in Chinese medicine in 300 years. You’ll be famous—bigger than the Four Heavenly Kings. TV stations will beg you for variety shows, maybe even directors for movies. How about I be your agent?”

“Don’t need one,” Ye Qiu shot back, “And if I ever do, I won’t drag a lapdog along.”

Qian Duoduo felt like he’d taken a 10,000-point crit.

Just then, a waiter approached Lin Jingzhi with a tray, “Ma’am, this is from Young Master Ma.”

Lin Jingzhi spotted it—a Royal Salute, one glass worth half a year’s pay for most.

She glanced over.

Not far off, Ma Dong nodded at her with a smile, flanked by a few sharply dressed young folks—rich kids, no doubt.

“Take it back,” Lin Jingzhi refused flat-out.

The waiter frowned.

A first for him.

When Ma Dong sent drinks to other girls, they’d act like they’d hit the jackpot—none ever turned it down like this.

Ungrateful.

He snorted inwardly, pressing her, “Ma’am, Young Master Ma doesn’t send drinks lightly. I suggest you take it— if he gets mad, the consequences…”

Ye Qiu cut in, “Get lost!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 672

The waiter froze.

He hadn’t expected Ye Qiu to tell him to scram. Glancing at Ye Qiu, a hint of scorn flashed in his eyes.

“I’m delivering this drink for Young Master Ma, and you’re telling me to get lost? Are you trying to pick a fight with him?”

The waiter’s tone turned sour, then he addressed Lin Jingzhi, “Young Master Ma is the son of Suzhou-Hangzhou’s richest man—young, loaded, and countless women are dying to get close to him.”

Lin Jingzhi replied coolly, “My boyfriend told you to scram—didn’t you hear?”

“Ma’am, no offense, but sticking with a broke guy who can only afford Penfolds? You’d be better off with Young Master Ma—Royal Salute every day.”

“Come here.”

Lin Jingzhi smiled, beckoning the waiter with a finger.

The waiter’s heart leapt, thinking she’d been swayed, and eagerly leaned in.

Lin Jingzhi grabbed the glass from the tray and smashed it into his face with a sharp “crack.”

“Now can you scram?” Her smile flipped to icy disdain.

The waiter exploded, “I’m here on behalf of Young Master Ma, and you dare treat me like this? I—”

Before he could finish, Ye Qiu seized his hair.

“Bang!”

Ye Qiu slammed the waiter’s head onto the table. Blood streamed down his face instantly.

“Keep standing there, and I’ll end you.”

Ye Qiu was pissed.

He’d just wanted a quiet drink, not to deal with an idiot who couldn’t read the room.

To him, this guy wasn’t a waiter—he was Ma Dong’s lapdog.

Nearby, Ma Dong had been watching. Seeing the waiter get thrashed, a cold glint flickered in his eyes. He picked up a drink and strutted over.

Head high, chest out, gaze forward.

Polished and poised.

Arrogance oozed from his every feature.

His posse of well-dressed young men and women trailed him, chuckling as they went.

“Ma Shao’s as bold as ever—never lets a pretty girl slip by.”

“Haha, what woman Ma Shao wants ever escapes him?”

“Right—remember that A-list actress? Acted all pure at first, but Ma Shao dropped eight million and had her.”

“…”

Meanwhile, other bar patrons noticed, whispering among themselves.

“Damn, money really buys everything—stealing women like it’s nothing.”

“Ma Dong loves this game. If he spots a woman he likes, boyfriend or not, he’ll snag her.”

“Big deal—a trust fund kid. Without a golden cradle, he’d be less than us.”

“He’s so reckless, the Ma family’s bound to crash under him someday.”

“Poor guy over there—can’t keep his girl.”

“Not Ma’s fault, though. Who brings a stunner like that here? I’d lock her up at home.”

“If I had Ma Dong’s cash, I’d steal her too—she’s gorgeous.”

“Pipe down, let’s watch the show!”

All eyes locked onto Lin Jingzhi’s booth.

A spectacle was brewing.

The beaten waiter smirked as Ma Dong approached.

Hmph, Ma Shao’s stepping in—let’s see if you two dare lift a finger now.

He shot Lin Jingzhi a glance, thinking, “Stuck-up bitch, acting all high and mighty—Ma Shao’ll pry your legs open with cash soon enough.”

Then he glared at Ye Qiu, sneering inwardly, “Dead bastard, hitting me? You’ll be crying soon.”

Ma Dong reached Lin Jingzhi’s side.

“Hey, beautiful, I’m Ma Dong.”

He flashed what he thought was a killer smile, “They say 500 glances in a past life earn a passing moment in this one. Meeting you today—must’ve been 100,000 glances, right?”

What a simp!

Worse than me!

Qian Duoduo cursed in his head.

Lin Jingzhi didn’t bat an eye.

Ma Dong, unfazed, plopped down beside her, “How about a drink, beautiful?”

He ignored Ye Qiu completely, treating him and Qian Duoduo like background noise.

Lin Jingzhi didn’t acknowledge him, turning to Ye Qiu, “This place sucks—loud, and flies buzzing around, so annoying. Let’s bounce.”

“Sure,” Ye Qiu nodded.

Ma Dong’s face darkened.

The battered waiter jumped in, “Hey, woman, what’s your deal?”

“Ma Shao came over to drink with you—blind or what?”

“Show some enthusiasm, or—”

“Shut it!” Ma Dong snapped at the waiter, then smiled at Ye Qiu, “Buddy, name your price.”

“Ma Shao, what’s that mean?” Qian Duoduo asked, confused.

Ma Dong eyed Ye Qiu, grinning, “A woman this fine? A hick like you doesn’t deserve her.”

“Name a price.”

“She’s mine.”

A chill flickered in Ye Qiu’s eyes.

Ma Dong pulled a bank card from his pocket, tossing it at Ye Qiu, “One million in there—enough?”

Ye Qiu stayed silent.

“Too little?” Ma Dong sneered, yanking out Ferrari keys and dropping them on the table, “How about now?”

Ye Qiu acted like he hadn’t seen, saying softly, “Lin Jie, let’s go.”

He had zero interest in engaging.

A rich kid like this? Fighting him was a waste of energy.

“Mm,” Lin Jingzhi agreed, starting to stand.

“Hold it!”

Ma Dong barked, glaring at Ye Qiu, “Kid, you don’t know who I am, do you? I’m Ma Dong.”

“My dad’s Suzhou-Hangzhou’s richest.”

“Hand over your woman, and you get a million, a Ferrari, and my word—no one in Suzhou-Hangzhou will touch you.”

Ye Qiu stood, ready to leave.

Ma Dong’s face turned frigid, his tone menacing, “Kid, no one in Suzhou-Hangzhou says no to me. Know what happens if you do?”

“No clue what happens if I refuse you,” Ye Qiu smiled, “but do you know what happens when you try to steal my woman?”

“What?”

Ma Dong smirked, doubting Ye Qiu had the guts to challenge him.

“The consequence is…”

Ye Qiu’s smile vanished. He grabbed the ashtray off the table and smashed it onto Ma Dong’s head.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 673

“Boom!”

Ma Dong’s head split open.

“Ah—”

Among the group trailing Ma Dong, a few girls screamed, while some guys barked at Ye Qiu.

“Kid, you dare hit Brother Dong? Tired of living?”

“Damn it, no point talking—guys, beat him down!”

“Touch Brother Dong, and I’ll end you!”

Clearly, these rich kids were used to throwing their weight around. They grabbed bottles off nearby tables, ready to swing at Ye Qiu.

“Stop!”

Ma Dong’s shout halted his crew. He grinned viciously at Ye Qiu, “You’ve hit me—your girlfriend’s mine now, right?”

Bang!

Ye Qiu kicked Ma Dong, sending him flying five or six meters, crashing through two tables.

The scene erupted into chaos.

The music cut off, and the writhing crowd froze, staring over.

Seeing Ma Dong beaten, jaws dropped.

“Holy crap, Ma Shao got hit?”

“That kid’s badass—actually dared to touch Ma Shao.”

“He’s done for—someone’s dying tonight!”

Two lackeys rushed over, pulling Ma Dong up from the floor.

“You bastard, you hit me again? Guess you don’t know who runs Suzhou-Hangzhou!”

Ma Dong bellowed, “Security! Get over here!”

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.

A dozen guards swarmed in, surrounding Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu ignored them, looking at Ma Dong calmly, “I don’t like trouble, but I’m never afraid of it.”

“Since you’re begging for a lesson, I’d be rude not to oblige.”

“How about this—kneel and apologize, and we’re done. Otherwise…”

“Otherwise what?” Ma Dong sneered.

“Otherwise, I’ll make you a cripple,” Ye Qiu said.

Laughter erupted around them—people thought Ye Qiu was bluffing.

“Watch your tone, you punk!”

The waiter chimed in, “Take a piss and look at yourself—what are you to challenge Young Master Ma?”

Ye Qiu, already fed up with this guy, slapped him hard.

Smack!

The waiter blacked out on the spot.

Seeing Ye Qiu’s dominance, Ma Dong snapped, “Waste him!”

The dozen guards charged.

Nearby, someone noticed Lin Jingzhi pouring herself a drink, sipping it slowly with a sultry smile, as if the chaos had nothing to do with her.

“This chick’s got guts—her boyfriend’s about to get wrecked, and she’s sipping wine.”

“You don’t get it—birds of a feather scatter when disaster strikes. They’re just dating, not married.”

“Once that guy’s done, she’ll climb into Ma Shao’s bed, living the high life—no loss.”

“Makes sense—holy sh*t!”

The speaker gasped mid-sentence.

Everyone looked up. The dozen guards who’d rushed Ye Qiu were now sprawled on the floor, groaning.

Ye Qiu stood untouched.

The crowd was dumbfounded.

“Less than a minute, and he took them all out?”

“That guy’s skills are insane.”

“No wonder he dared to face off with Ma Shao—he’s got chops.”

This outcome blindsided Ma Dong.

“No wonder you’re cocky in front of me—you’re a fighter, huh? Fine, let’s see how good you really are.”

Ma Dong pulled out his phone to call for backup.

Ye Qiu, unimpressed, scoffed, “You rich kids—no skills, so you start trouble, then cry for help. Pathetic.”

“Just wait—my guys are coming, and we’ll see how tough you are then!” Ma Dong snarled.

Ten minutes later, a horde of men stormed in from outside.

At least sixty or seventy.

Rough and rowdy.

Oddly, their leader was a skinny, tall guy with glasses, looking bookish and frail.

Seeing him, Qian Duoduo frowned, muttering, “Why’s Gao Fei here?”

Ye Qiu caught it and glanced over.

Gao Fei, in his thirties, was lanky and bespectacled, more scholar than thug.

“Shiyu姐’s husband?” Ye Qiu asked.

“Yeah, that’s him,” Qian Duoduo said, brow creased. “Wasn’t he off starting a business? Why’s he with Ma Dong?”

“Looks like he’s working under Ma Dong,” Ye Qiu observed.

Qian Duoduo warned, “Cousin, whatever’s up, he’s Shiyu姐’s husband. Go easy on him later.”

“Don’t worry, I’ve got it under control.”

As Ye Qiu finished, Ma Dong yelled at Gao Fei, “Damn it, what took you so long?”

“Got held up,” Gao Fei replied. Seeing Ma Dong’s bloody head, he jolted, shouting, “Who did this? Step up!”

“Me,” Ye Qiu said casually.

Gao Fei’s gaze landed on Ye Qiu, then shifted. Spotting Lin Jingzhi, he pieced it together.

Then he saw Qian Duoduo.

“Qian Duoduo, what are you doing here?” Gao Fei asked.

“I should ask you that,” Qian Duoduo shot back. “Weren’t you off starting something? How’d you end up as Ma Dong’s lackey?”

“Since when do I owe you an explanation?”

Gao Fei snorted, then turned to Ma Dong, “Ma Shao, leave this to me—I’ll handle it, guaranteed satisfaction.”

Ma Dong nodded, “No matter what, I want that woman tonight.”

“Got it.”

Gao Fei smirked, then asked Ye Qiu, “You hit Brother Dong?”

“Yup,” Ye Qiu grinned. “What’s your move?”

“My move? Haha, good question.”

Gao Fei laughed, directing the sixty-odd burly men behind him, “This punk’s got bear guts and leopard balls, daring to hit Brother Dong. Boys, beat him senseless later.”

He glanced at Lin Jingzhi, “Tie her up after—send her to Ma Shao’s villa.”

“As for him—”

Gao Fei’s eyes landed on Qian Duoduo and paused.

“What, you wanna hit me too?” Qian Duoduo asked, stone-faced.

“Why not?”

Gao Fei’s lips curled coldly, “I’ve put up with your Qian family long enough.”

“Boys, pound this kid into the ground!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 674

Smack!

Qian Duoduo slammed the table and shot up.

“Gao Fei, you dare touch me? How’ll you explain this to Shiyu姐?”

Gao Fei sneered, “Why would I need to explain anything to Qian Shiyu?”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Qian Duoduo pressed, “Shiyu姐’s your wife, my cousin—you throwing family out the window?”

Gao Fei looked surprised, “What, Qian Shiyu didn’t tell you? We’re divorced.”

Divorced?

Qian Duoduo’s face froze in shock, “When did you divorce?”

“Just a few days ago,” Gao Fei chuckled, “I thought your family knew. Guess that wretch Qian Shiyu kept it from you!”

Qian Duoduo’s expression turned icy.

That morning at home, he’d seen Qian Shiyu crying quietly in a corner—something felt off. He hadn’t imagined she’d divorced Gao Fei.

“Why’d you split?” Qian Duoduo demanded.

Gao Fei shrugged, “Ask Qian Shiyu yourself later. Right now, I’m just here to teach you a lesson for Ma Shao.”

Ma Dong chimed in, “Gao Fei’s divorce was simple—Qian Shiyu wasn’t good enough for him.”

“Bullsh*t!”

Qian Duoduo snapped, furious, “Shiyu姐’s got a PhD, teaches at university, kind and refined—how’s she not good enough for Gao Fei?”

“Our Qian family’s been scholars for centuries. Gao Fei? Just a broke kid from the sticks back then.”

“Without marrying Shiyu姐, and Grandpa and Uncle backing him, could he have climbed to a mid-level post at the research institute so young?”

Gao Fei nodded, “True, your family helped me out a lot because of Qian Shiyu. But I’m not at the institute anymore—she’s useless to me now.”

“Oh, and I’m remarrying next month.”

“My fiancée’s Ma Shao’s cousin.”

Ma Dong added, “My cousin just got back from studying abroad—her degree’s as good as Qian Shiyu’s, plus she’s younger, prettier, and her family’s worth billions. Can your Qian family match that?”

“Gao Fei’s in his startup phase—he needs a woman who can help him, not some book-teaching deadweight.”

“Luckily, my cousin fits the bill.”

It clicked for Qian Duoduo—Gao Fei had traded up, ditching Qian Shiyu.

A modern-day Chen Shimei!

Gao Fei snorted, “Ma Shao’s right. Qian Shiyu’s a worthless burden to me—keeping her would’ve dragged me down.”

“Burden? Gao Fei, you’ve got the nerve to say that—are you even human?”

Qian Duoduo trembled with rage, pointing at him, “Shiyu姐 stuck by you for years, slaving away, gave you a sweet daughter—do you deserve her?”

“Did a dog eat your conscience?”

Fuming, Qian Duoduo started rolling up his sleeves.

“What, wanna fight?” Gao Fei smirked, “Qian Duoduo, you forgetting this ain’t your family’s turf?”

“Back in the Qian house, if you swung at me, I’d have to take it. But times have changed.”

“Look at my crew—any one of them could half-kill you.”

Qian Duoduo glanced behind Gao Fei. Those guys were built like tanks, muscles bulging—clearly not pushovers.

Fear crept onto his face.

“Coward!”

Gao Fei sneered at him, “Without your Qian family cradle, you’d be less than a street beggar.”

“And that old fart Qian Siyuan—big-shot scholar, always preaching. Who does he think he is?”

“If not for Qian Shiyu, I’d have slapped him ages ago.”

“All that talk of morals and justice—look at your family’s kids. How many made anything of themselves?”

“Especially you, Qian Duoduo—a total waste. What right do you have to lecture me?”

“Since Qian Siyuan and Qian Weidong didn’t raise you right, I’ll do it for them today.”

Gao Fei strode forward, raising a hand to slap Qian Duoduo.

Before it landed, an ashtray crashed onto his head.

“Ah—”

Gao Fei hit the floor, yelping, and looked up—Ye Qiu had done it.

“You bastard, you dare—”

Bang!

Ye Qiu smashed the ashtray on his head again.

“Ungrateful scum, abandoning Shiyu姐—beating you’s too light.”

Still pissed, Ye Qiu kicked Gao Fei square in the chest.

“Ah—” Gao Fei screamed, flying back over ten meters.

Seeing this, Ma Dong roared, “What’re you waiting for? Take him out!”

Instantly, dozens of men charged Ye Qiu.

Qian Duoduo grabbed a bottle to help, but Lin Jingzhi said, “Don’t get in the way.”

He froze, recalling last night at the Green Wolf Gang, and sat back down.

Ye Qiu faced the oncoming mob with no trace of fear—instead, he walked toward them.

Ma Dong grinned savagely, “Courting death!”

The onlookers jeered:

“That kid’s lost it!”

“He’s good, but against that many?”

“Two fists can’t beat four hands—even Bruce Lee couldn’t handle this.”

“Overreaching—why pick a fight with Ma Shao of all people?”

“He’s not just getting killed—his girl’s gonna get taken by Ma Shao. Shame, she’s a looker.”

“What’s to pity? Her man’s getting swarmed, and she’s sipping wine—heartless witch…”

Screams suddenly filled the air.

The crowd snapped out of it, stunned to see Ye Qiu unscathed while Gao Fei’s dozens of thugs writhed on the floor.

This…

The spectators were floored.

Ma Dong’s eyes widened, staring at Ye Qiu like he was a ghost, his mind reeling.

What the hell—is this guy human?

Before he could process it, Ye Qiu was in front of him.

“W-what do you want?”

Ma Dong’s voice shook as he stepped back, “You hit me and my guys—I won’t let this slide.”

Ye Qiu slapped him.

Smack!

Five red fingerprints bloomed on Ma Dong’s face.

“You love calling backup, huh? Keep calling—bring your toughest.”

Ye Qiu scoffed, “Let’s see how you won’t let me off.”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 675

Ma Dong was livid.

He’d never imagined that he, who strutted through Suzhou-Hangzhou bullying others at will, would meet someone blind enough to hit him today.

And not just once, but over and over.

The beating was minor—losing face was major.

Everyone here knew he was the son of Suzhou-Hangzhou’s richest man. If he didn’t reclaim his pride, how could he show his face around town?

Calling people, huh?

Fine, I’ll humor you!

“Kid, you wait,” Ma Dong spat, dialing his phone.

No matter what, he’d get his dignity back today.

The call connected.

Ma Dong barked, “I got jumped at Charm Dance Bar—bring a ton of guys. What, ten? Not enough! Bring a thousand!”

He hung up, pointing at Ye Qiu with a sneer, “My crew’s on the way, kid. Hope you don’t piss yourself later.”

“Trash!”

Ye Qiu cursed, returning to Lin Jingzhi’s side and sitting down.

“Drink?” Lin Jingzhi asked with a sultry smile.

“Sure,” Ye Qiu nodded.

She poured a glass and handed it to him. The two looked utterly relaxed.

Seeing this, the crowd couldn’t help but jabber.

“This kid’s an idiot—still sitting there drinking? He’s begging to die.”

“No kidding. Didn’t you hear Ma Shao on the phone? He told them to bring a thousand guys.”

“A thousand? One spit each, and that kid’s drowned.”

“If I were him, I’d grab that woman and bolt.”

“He’s tough, but a thousand people?”

Qian Duoduo’s nerves kicked in, whispering, “Cousin, maybe we should split?”

“Why run?” Ye Qiu countered.

“Didn’t you hear? Ma Dong called a thousand guys. When they show up, we’re screwed.”

“No worries, just drink.”

Ye Qiu’s calm only spiked Qian Duoduo’s panic, “Cousin, I know you’re a beast in a fight, but a thousand? What if it turns into a brawl and Lin姐 gets hurt…”

Before he finished, Lin Jingzhi cut in, “Ye Qiu won’t let anyone touch me.”

“But Lin姐, Ma Dong’s bringing too many. What if—”

“No what-ifs. With Ye Qiu here, I’m fine, right?” She glanced at Ye Qiu.

“Yep,” Ye Qiu nodded.

Qian Duoduo was speechless. At a time like this, they’re playing lovebirds?

“Cousin, listen to me—let’s go!”

Ye Qiu said, “Duoduo, it’s already this messy. You think walking away fixes it?”

“You know the saying: the monk can run, but the temple can’t. Even if we leave, they’ll track down the Qian family.”

“For a guy like Ma Dong, there’s one fix—beat him ’til he folds.”

Qian Duoduo saw the logic but still fretted over the numbers, “Cousin, I’ve got some buddies—should I call them for backup?”

“No need. I’ve got this.”

Ye Qiu had a fallback—if it got dicey, he’d summon the Green Wolf Gang.

Wanna play the numbers game? Let’s see who’s got more.

About ten minutes later, over a hundred black sedans rolled up outside Charm Dance Bar.

Then, a sharp shout from the entrance, “Green Wolf Gang business—step aside, bystanders!”

The crowd parted instantly.

A swarm of Green Wolf Gang members stormed in, sealing the bar inside and out.

Ye Qiu frowned. He hadn’t called anyone—why were they here?

Did Old Man Huang catch wind and send help?

Just then, Ma Dong burst out laughing.

“Kid, aren’t you a fighter? I’ve got the Green Wolf Gang here—let’s see you take them all down!”

A chill flashed in Ye Qiu’s eyes.

He hadn’t expected Ma Dong to call the Green Wolf Gang.

But it clicked fast—son of Suzhou-Hangzhou’s richest, pulling their strings was par for the course.

Ye Qiu stayed cool, sipping his wine, and said to Ma Dong, “Call someone else. The Green Wolf Gang can’t handle me.”

“You’re cockier than I thought. Let’s see how long that lasts,” Ma Dong sneered, asking a nearby gang member, “Where’s your boss?”

“He’s here,” the guy pointed to the door.

Ma Dong turned. Yu Yi, clad in black, strode in.

“Brother Yu, perfect timing! Some punk beat me and my guys—teach him a lesson quick,” Ma Dong urged.

Yu Yi scanned the scene, spotting dozens of Ma Dong’s men on the floor, and tensed.

Impressive skills!

Even he’d struggle to drop that many.

“Who did it?” Yu Yi asked, stone-faced.

“That kid,” Ma Dong jabbed a finger at Ye Qiu.

Yu Yi looked up, and terror flooded his eyes.

Ma Dong, oblivious to the shift, grinned at Ye Qiu, “Kid, meet my buddy Yu Yi, the Green Wolf Gang boss’s top disciple.”

“You told me to call people? Here they are.”

“Go ahead—act tough now!”

Ye Qiu smirked, “Green Wolf Gang, huh? Big deal.”

Yu Yi broke into a cold sweat.

Ye Qiu pointed at him, telling Ma Dong, “Bet you this—I tell him to kneel, and he won’t dare stand.”

“You? Who the hell are you to talk big about Brother Yu?”

“I’m telling you, one word from him, and you’re a corpse.”

“Kneel and beg me now—maybe I’ll be nice and spare your sorry life. Otherwise…”

Ma Dong’s tone sharpened, “You said you’d cripple me? I’ll take both your hands.”

“And your woman? Mine. I won’t keep her long—just one night. You can watch, hahaha…”

Smack!

Yu Yi slapped Ma Dong hard, sending him sprawling.

“Brother Yu, why’d you hit me?” Ma Dong gaped, incredulous.

The crowd was stunned.

Wasn’t Yu Yi Ma Shao’s guy? Why’d he turn on him?

“You wanna die, don’t drag me down!”

Yu Yi snapped, then marched toward Ye Qiu. Under everyone’s shocked stares, he dropped to his knees before him.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 676

Plop!

Yu Yi knelt before Ye Qiu.

The room fell silent, stunned.

“Mr. Ye, I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was you.”

Yu Yi bowed his head, like a vassal before an emperor, his demeanor utterly deferential.

He could’ve killed Ma Dong right then.

That cursed fool, picking a fight with anyone but Ye Qiu, this god of slaughter.

One of Dragon Gate’s four Dragon Envoys.

Without Ye Qiu, Yu Yi and his master would’ve joined Sun Wu in the grave last night.

The onlookers gaped at the scene.

They’d figured Ma Dong, backed by the Green Wolf Gang, would crush Ye Qiu easily. Who’d have thought Yu Yi would kneel before him?

Ma Dong, dumbfounded, rushed to pull Yu Yi up, “Brother Yu, why’re you kneeling to this punk? Get up!”

Bam!

Yu Yi stood, kicking Ma Dong over, snarling, “One more word against Mr. Ye, and I’ll end you.”

His soul nearly fled in terror.

Disrespecting Mr. Ye now? Pure suicide.

Ye Qiu eyed Ma Dong, “I told you, calling the Green Wolf Gang won’t cut it.”

“One last chance. Keep calling.”

“Make sure you bring the biggest shot you’ve got!”

Ma Dong, still reeling, stammered, “Brother Yu, what’s going on?”

“You idiot, still asking what’s up? Brain flooded or what?”

Yu Yi roared, “Mr. Ye saved me and my master. The whole Green Wolf Gang belongs to him.”

“You cross Mr. Ye, you cross all of us.”

What?

Ma Dong froze.

The crowd’s faces went blank.

This kid was the Green Wolf Gang’s boss?

Some, clueless, whispered doubts.

“Isn’t Sun Wu the Fifth Lord of the Green Wolf Gang? Since when was it this guy?”

“You didn’t hear? Fifth Lord’s dead.”

“What? When’d that happen?”

“Last night. Word is the gang imploded. Sun Wu got killed, headquarters ran red with blood, tons dead.”

“Hiss, this kid did that?”

Suddenly, eyes on Ye Qiu turned fearful.

Yu Yi knelt again, “When Sun Wu was alive, he was tight with Ma Dong. Some of our deals tied to the Ma family. That’s why, when Ma Dong called, I brought men over.”

“Mr. Ye, I swear, I didn’t know it was you.”

“If I had, no way I’d have come…”

Slap!

Before he finished, Ye Qiu’s palm cracked across his face.

“I told you to clean up the Green Wolf Gang. This is your cleanup?”

“If it wasn’t me today, but someone else, you’d back Ma Dong?”

“I can save you, Yu Yi. I can also kill you.”

Ye Qiu’s words left Yu Yi trembling, kowtowing, “Yes, yes, Mr. Ye’s right. My fault today, please forgive me!”

“Yu Yi, remember this: the Green Wolf Gang answers to Dragon Gate now. You follow Dragon Gate’s rules.”

“First, all members stay loyal to the nation. No betraying the country.”

“Second, obey the code. No drugs, gambling, or any illegal trade.”

“Third, no bullying, no abusing power, no harming the weak.”

“Break these, and you’re done!”

As Ye Qiu spoke his last words, a chilling killing intent radiated from him.

The bar’s temperature seemed to plummet to minus fifty.

Everyone felt trapped in ice, silent as the grave.

But they wondered: wasn’t this guy the Green Wolf boss? What’s this Dragon Gate tie?

Yu Yi said respectfully, “Mr. Ye, rest assured, I’ll follow Dragon Gate’s rules, no more mistakes.”

“Get up.”

Ye Qiu reined in his aura.

Yu Yi exhaled, standing, “Mr. Ye, what about Ma Dong?”

“I’ll handle him myself. Stay out of it.”

“Yes.”

Yu Yi stepped back, waiting.

Ye Qiu glared at a dazed Ma Dong, “You deaf?”

“I told you to call someone.”

“Don’t, and I’m coming for you.”

Ma Dong burned with rage and fear.

His ace was the Green Wolf Gang, now Ye Qiu’s crew.

He wanted to call reinforcements but had no clue who.

Even his usual cronies wouldn’t dare step up for him now.

The young men and women with him earlier had long scattered, terrified of being dragged in.

Ma Dong gritted his teeth, opting to bow for now, plotting revenge later.

He faced Ye Qiu, “Today was my bad.”

“I’m sorry, okay?”

“Brother, can we call it quits?”

The crowd was shocked.

Ma Dong, Suzhou’s untouchable prince, apologizing?

Who’d believe it without seeing?

What floored them more: Ye Qiu didn’t buy it.

“Who’s your brother? Trash like you, calling me that?”

“Can you call anyone or not?”

“If not, I’m done being nice.”

Ye Qiu stepped toward Ma Dong.

Ma Dong’s face darkened.

He’d thought an apology would end it. Ye Qiu wasn’t letting up.

“What do you want?” he growled.

Ye Qiu said, “Don’t worry, I won’t kill you. Just one hand.”

“Don’t push it,” Ma Dong snapped. “Know who my dad is? Suzhou’s richest man. Money to burn. Touch me, and we’ll bury you in cash.”

“Still threatening me? Ma Dong, looks like that hand’s gone.”

Ye Qiu’s lips curled into a cold smirk, closing in.

Ma Dong panicked, retreating, “Spare me, I’ll pay.”

“Ten million enough?”

“No? A hundred million!”

Ye Qiu paused.

Ma Dong’s heart leaped, thinking he’d swayed him.

Then Ye Qiu said, “Ma Dong, money doesn’t rule the world. It doesn’t fix everything.”

“This world’s harsh.”

“Do wrong, you pay.”

With that, Ye Qiu’s fist sent Ma Dong sprawling.

“Stop!”

A shout came from the door.

Ye Qiu, unfazed, stomped on Ma Dong’s right hand.

Crack!

Fingers snapped.

Blood sprayed.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 677

Ye Qiu’s kick was brutal, merciless.

It shook the crowd.

He knew if it wasn’t him today, but someone else, Ma Dong would’ve crushed them beyond recognition.

A spoiled rich kid like Ma Dong, flaunting his family’s wealth, needed a harsh lesson.

Only then would he rein it in. Otherwise, who knows how many more he’d trample?

The onlookers felt a chill run through them.

Ye Qiu’s kick didn’t just ruin Ma Dong’s hand—it stamped on their hearts.

“Guess we should keep a low profile. Even a big shot like Ma got taken down. There’s always a bigger fish.”

“Old saying: work loud, live quiet. Ain’t wrong.”

“If Ma wasn’t so cocky with his family’s money, would he be in this mess?”

“Who yelled ‘stop’ earlier?”

“Sounded like it came from the door.”

Heads turned toward the entrance.

At the bar’s doorway stood a middle-aged man, maybe in his fifties, slightly stocky, in a suit with slicked-back hair, radiating authority.

“Hiss, it’s Ma the Tycoon!”

Someone’s shout snapped all eyes to the door.

“It’s really him.”

“Didn’t expect to see Suzhou’s richest man in the flesh. What a privilege!”

“Wrong occasion, though. Otherwise, I’d snap a pic with him to brag to my business buddies.”

As chatter buzzed, Ma the Tycoon strode straight for Ye Qiu.

His face was grim, eight bodyguards trailing behind.

Whispers sparked again.

“Even Ma the Tycoon’s here. This won’t end quietly.”

“That kid broke Ma Junior’s fingers. No way Tycoon lets him off.”

“Ma Junior’s his only son, after all.”

“How’s Tycoon gonna punish him?”

“That kid’s no pushover. Won’t go down easy.”

By now, everyone saw it—Ye Qiu was tough, not someone to mess with.

“He might have some backing, but no way he’d challenge Ma the Tycoon.”

“These days, the poor fear the rich, the rich fear the officials. Tycoon’s got deep ties in business and government.”

“Green Wolf Gang’s just a gang. If Tycoon pulls official strings, they’d crumble overnight.”

“If that kid’s smart, he’d apologize now, eat some humble pie, beg Tycoon’s forgiveness.”

“Might get a pass if he does.”

Ma Dong, groaning on the floor, saw his father approach and yelled, “Dad, save me!”

“Someone’s trying to kill your son.”

“You gotta take him out!”

Ma the Tycoon reached Ma Dong, helped him up, glanced at his mangled hand, and asked, “Does it hurt?”

“Hurts.”

Ma Dong nodded, tears streaming. As the tycoon’s son, he’d never been humiliated like this.

Ma noticed the slap mark on Ma Dong’s face, then asked Ye Qiu, “You hit my son?”

“Why ask? You saw it,” Ye Qiu said with a grin.

The crowd was floored.

This kid dared talk to Ma the Tycoon like that? And he was *smiling*?

“Good! Very good!”

Ma’s words hissed through clenched teeth, his face dark as coal.

Anyone could see he was pissed.

A tycoon’s wrath carried weight.

But Ye Qiu, as if blind to it, kept going, “Gotta say, for a tycoon, raising a punk like him? You’re no father of the year.”

The crowd gasped.

“What’s he mean? Lecturing Ma the Tycoon?”

“Some wet-eared kid schooling Suzhou’s richest man? He’s done for!”

“Way too arrogant!”

“Tycoon’s gonna bury him!”

Everyone thought Ye Qiu was toast.

Then, the next second, Ma the Tycoon bowed ninety degrees to Ye Qiu, saying politely, “Sir, thank you for disciplining my useless son.”

“You’re right—I’m no good father.”

“Been too busy with business, neglected him. That’s why he runs wild, does whatever.”

“Truth is, I’ve heard about his antics. Planned to teach him a lesson myself but never found the right moment. Worried it’d strain us—he’s grown, got his own mind. Didn’t expect you’d step in today. You’ve done me a huge favor.”

Ma shot a glance at a bodyguard.

The guard got it, stepped forward, and offered Ye Qiu a bank card with both hands.

“What’s this?” Ye Qiu asked, eyes narrowed.

Ma grinned, “Thanks for teaching my boy. Words can’t express my gratitude. A small token—please accept it.”

The crowd was stunned.

What? No revenge for Ma Dong, and he’s *paying* the kid?

No scriptwriter would dare dream this up!

Ye Qiu saw through Ma’s game, thinking to himself, no surprise a tycoon’s no ordinary player.

“Well, I won’t say no.”

He took the card and tossed it to Qian Duoduo.

“Password’s six eights, ten million inside,” Ma said, a faint smirk flickering, then turned to Ma Dong, “Apologize to Mr. Ye, now!”

Ma Dong balked, “Dad…”

“Now!”

Under his father’s glare, Ma Dong muttered a half-hearted “sorry” to Ye Qiu.

Ma faced the crowd, “Sorry for the mess tonight. My no-good son ruined your evening.”

“All tabs tonight are on me. Please forgive the trouble.”

“Mr. Ye, I won’t keep you from your drinks. I’ll take my son home.”

Ye Qiu nodded slightly.

Ma signaled his guards. Two grabbed Ma Dong and hustled him out.

Gao Fei tried sneaking off behind Ma Dong.

“Hold it,” Ye Qiu called.

Ma turned, puzzled, “Anything else, Mr. Ye?”

“You can go. He stays.”

Ye Qiu pointed at Gao Fei.

Gao Fei, already cowed by Ye Qiu’s beatdown, pleaded to Ma, “Tycoon, take me with you, or he’ll kill me…”

Bam!

Ma’s fist dropped Gao Fei, “We’re leaving.”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 678

Ma the Tycoon led Ma Dong out of the bar and into a Maybach.

As soon as they settled in, Ma Dong grumbled, “Dad, what was that today?”

“That guy beat me, trashed my hand, and you gave him ten million?”

“Are you losing it?”

Slap!

Ma the Tycoon’s hand cracked across Ma Dong’s face, his voice booming, “You useless punk, always stirring up trouble. What else can you do besides make messes?”

“You didn’t even check who he was before picking a fight. How’s that not asking for death?”

“If I hadn’t shown up, you think you’d have walked out of there?”

Ma Dong frowned, confused.

His dad rarely bothered with him, always speaking gently. This kind of rage was a first.

Still, Ma Dong didn’t care much.

Right now, he just wanted to claw back his lost pride.

“He’s just the Green Wolf Gang’s boss, right? What’s to fear? Dad, pull some strings with Suzhou’s big shots, get them to wipe out the gang,” Ma Dong said.

Ma the Tycoon’s anger flared, “You really think your old man’s all-powerful?”

“Let me tell you, I’ve got some cash, not control. Suzhou’s leaders aren’t my errand boys.”

“Plus, he’s got you like this, and you still think he’s Green Wolf? Is your brain waterlogged?”

Ma Dong blinked, “Not Green Wolf? Then who?”

Ma took a deep breath, cooling his temper, and said gravely, “He’s with Dragon Gate.”

“Dragon Gate?” Ma Dong laughed, “Dad, don’t you have a buddy who’s a Dragon Gate hall master? Get him to handle this guy!”

Ma’s barely-contained fury erupted again, “Handle him? My ass!”

“If my friend knew you crossed that kid, he’d storm Suzhou to take you out.”

“You know who he is in Dragon Gate?”

“One of the four Dragon Envoys, second only to the Gate Master, Nine Thousand Years. Nobody touches him.”

What?

Ma Dong’s face went blank.

Ma continued, “Forget breaking your hand, if he’d killed you, I couldn’t even avenge you.”

“We’ve got some money, but next to Dragon Gate, we’re nothing.”

“Back there, if I hadn’t played nice and coughed up ten million as compensation, you think he’d have let you off? One wrong move, he might’ve thrashed me too.”

Ma warned, “Listen up: don’t mess with him again, or you’ll end up like Sun Wu.”

Fear crept into Ma Dong’s eyes.

“Dad, you saying he killed Sun Wu?”

Ma replied, “That kid’s the Qian family’s grandson. Word is Sun Wu caused a scene at their place yesterday. By night, he was dead at Green Wolf HQ. If not him, who?”

“I also heard their HQ was a bloodbath last night, dozens dead.”

“Probably him too.”

“The new Green Wolf boss, Huang the Crooked, is his puppet. And you called Huang’s disciple Yu Yi for backup. What a moron.”

Ma Dong muttered, “How was I supposed to know he’s tied to Green Wolf?”

“What, you’re the victim now?”

Ma snorted, “I told you before, this world eats its own. Big fish eat small fish, small fish eat shrimp, shrimp eat mud.”

“Money puts you above others, lets you push people around, that’s normal. But can you at least check who you’re shoving before you start?”

“Someone like Ye Qiu’s a steel wall. Picking on him? You’re begging for pain.”

Ma Dong hung his head, “Dad, sorry. I screwed up, dragged you down with me.”

“You’re fine, so what’s my shame?”

Ma lectured, “Dong, I know kids your age chase clout, but let me tell you, face is worthless.”

“Look at Liu Bang, Han’s founder. To save his skin, he ditched his parents, wife, kids. Did he care about pride?”

“There’s a saying: a tree without bark dies, a man without shame rules the world.”

“When you stop caring about face, you’re closer to winning.”

Ma Dong asked, “Dad, think he’ll come after me again?”

“With his status, he shouldn’t bother, but…”

Ma glanced at his son, a walking trouble magnet. What if he crossed Ye Qiu again?

Better safe than sorry. “Dong, lay low for a bit. Go abroad, have some fun, come back later.”

Ma Dong whined, “Abroad’s boring. I’m done with it.”

“Then pick a spot in China,” Ma said. “Heal up, clear your head.”

“I’ll go to Dali,” Ma Dong decided. “My jewelry company’s heading there to source jade. I’ll tag along.”

“Fine.”

Ma cautioned, “Wherever you are, Dali or Suzhou, keep it low-key.”

“Got it, Dad. Don’t worry, I’ll be careful.”

Ma Dong paused, thinking of Gao Fei, “Dad, can you spring Gao Fei? He’s marrying cousin next month.”

Ma sneered, “That wedding’s off.”

“What?” Ma Dong said. “They’ve got the date set.”

“Gao Fei doesn’t deserve to touch our family.”

“And you, Dong, cut him off. He’ll drag you down.”

Ma explained, “Gao Fei ditched his first wife and kid for your cousin. Ungrateful scum.”

“Without the Qian family’s help, would he be a mid-level cadre at the research institute so young?”

“People like him only see profit. For it, he’d do anything.”

“Don’t befriend him, stay far away, or he’ll ruin you.”

Ma Dong scoffed, “He’s a nobody. How’s he gonna hurt me?”

“Don’t believe me? Keep hanging with him, and you’ll regret it.”

Ma turned to the driver, “Drive!”

“Mr. Ma, hospital for the young master, or home?” the driver asked.

Ma said, “Hospital’s too public. Media’ll spin it wild. Home.”

“Oh, and call the doctor to the house.”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 679

Charm Dance Bar.

The crowd hadn’t dispersed.

Ye Qiu had singled out Gao Fei to stay, clearly planning to deal with him.

So they stuck around, curious how Ye Qiu would handle it.

Gao Fei, already terrified by Ye Qiu’s methods, was sprawled on the floor, clutching a table leg for dear life.

“Come here,” Ye Qiu beckoned.

Gao Fei gripped the table tighter, shaking his head, refusing to budge.

Ye Qiu ordered, “Yu Yi, bring him over.”

“Yes!”

Yu Yi strode over, grabbed Gao Fei’s collar like an eagle snatching a chick, and tossed him at Ye Qiu’s feet.

“Gao Fei, do you know who I am?” Ye Qiu asked.

Gao Fei shook his head, “N-no…”

“I’m Ye Qiu. Qian Shiyu’s my cousin.”

Qian Shiyu’s cousin?

Gao Fei froze. Since when did Qian Shiyu have a cousin? He’d never heard of it.

Then it hit him.

Cao Chunmei had mentioned that Old Man Qian had a younger daughter, kicked out over twenty years ago for having an illegitimate kid.

He stared at Ye Qiu, shocked, “Are you that bas—”

Slap!

Before he could finish, Qian Duoduo’s hand cracked across his face.

“You scum, ditching your wife and kid to climb higher? I’ll end you!”

Qian Duoduo unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.

Ye Qiu watched coldly, unbothered. A creep like Gao Fei deserved it.

After a while, Qian Duoduo, winded, stopped and pointed at Gao Fei, asking Ye Qiu, “Cousin, what do we do with this guy?”

“What do *you* think?” Ye Qiu countered.

“Cousin, a backstabbing, family-ditching jerk like him? I say we bury him,” Qian Duoduo said.

Ye Qiu nodded slightly, “Sounds doable…”

Clunk!

Before he finished, Gao Fei fainted on the floor.

“Faking it, huh, you animal?”

Qian Duoduo kicked him twice, saw no response, and dumped a bottle of red wine over Gao Fei’s face.

Gao Fei’s eyes fluttered open. Seeing Ye Qiu’s icy stare, he shivered, dropped to his knees, and begged.

“Mr. Ye, I’m sorry, please, give me a chance!”

“It’s my fault, I wronged Shiyu and the kid. I’ll apologize to her.”

“I’ll beg her to take me back, I—”

Bam!

Qian Duoduo’s kick sent him sprawling, “You dog, remarry my Shiyu? In your dreams!”

“She fell for you before because she was blind.”

“Forget stepping foot in our Qian family again!”

Gao Fei didn’t really want Shiyu back—he was stalling, hoping to dodge this mess.

He slapped himself a dozen times, “Mr. Ye, I was wrong, truly wrong.”

“Please, let me live.”

“I’ll do anything if you spare me.”

He kept kowtowing, pleading.

Ye Qiu’s face stayed blank. Honestly, he half-wanted to kill the guy.

But Gao Fei, though divorced from Qian Shiyu, had a daughter with her. Killing him would leave the girl fatherless.

What to do?

Ye Qiu paused, then said to Qian Duoduo, “Give me your phone.”

Qian Duoduo blinked, “For what?”

“To call Shiyu.”

“Now? What for? Cousin, you’re not asking her opinion, are you? I say skip the call and bury this creep.”

Ye Qiu’s face hardened, “Enough talk, hand it over.”

Qian Duoduo passed the phone.

Ye Qiu stepped aside, dialed Qian Shiyu, spoke briefly, and returned, his expression colder.

Gao Fei was still begging, “Mr. Ye, please, don’t kill me, don’t kill me…”

Slap!

Ye Qiu’s slap sent him flying, “Animal!”

“What’s up, cousin?” Qian Duoduo asked, seeing Ye Qiu’s fury.

Ye Qiu said, “This bastard, to force Shiyu to divorce, brought that woman home, did *that* in front of their kid.”

“After she agreed to split, he forced her out with nothing. Didn’t pay a cent for the kid.”

“Even kicked her and the girl out in the middle of the night.”

Qian Duoduo’s rage exploded. He lunged to beat Gao Fei, but a wine bottle smashed Gao Fei’s head first.

Lin Jingzhi had struck.

Qian Duoduo paused, surprised. Who knew Lin Jingzhi had this side?

“Scum like him doesn’t deserve to be human,” Lin Jingzhi fumed.

“You’re right, sis-in-law. Cousin, let’s kill him. I’ll do it,” Qian Duoduo grabbed a broken bottle, murder in his eyes.

“Stop!”

Ye Qiu’s sharp command halted him, then he turned to Yu Yi, “I’m handing him to you. Two conditions.”

“First, I don’t care how, but all his assets go to Shiyu’s name.”

“Second, get him out of Suzhou.”

Yu Yi bowed, “Mr. Ye, consider it done!”

Ye Qiu waved him off.

Yu Yi hoisted Gao Fei and left with the Green Wolf crew.

The bar settled back to normal.

“Cousin, why let him go?” Qian Duoduo was still pissed.

Ye Qiu sighed, “Shiyu said to spare him.”

“Shiyu’s too soft, or she wouldn’t have been burned by this trash,” Qian Duoduo cursed. “Thinking of what he did, I wanna kill him.”

“Let it go. He’s gone from Suzhou for good,” Ye Qiu said.

Qian Duoduo gave Lin Jingzhi a thumbs-up, “Sis-in-law, smashing his head with a bottle? Total badass.”

Ye Qiu smirked, “That’s nothing. Lin sis shot Xiao Qingdi’s leg off.”

What?

Qian Duoduo’s eyes popped, staring at Lin Jingzhi.

“No big deal,” Lin Jingzhi smiled, looping her arm through Ye Qiu’s, “Shall we head back?”

“Yeah.”

Ye Qiu nodded. After tonight’s chaos, drinking here lost its appeal.

The trio left the bar.

Back at the Qian estate, Ye Qiu’s phone rang—Zhang Jiuling.

“Ye Qiu, the duel’s set!”

“Next month, the ninth, lunar August fifteenth. You and Korea’s Medical Saint Li Zhengxi, a fight to the death at Nanjing’s Confucius Temple!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 680

The duel was set.

Ye Qiu calculated the time, twenty days until August fifteenth.

He planned to visit Tianlong Temple to study the Six Meridians Divine Sword manual and accompany Lin Jingzhi to buy jade in Dali, plenty of time for both.

After getting out of the car, he said, “Lin, book tickets now, we leave for Dali tomorrow morning.”

“Got it,” Lin Jingzhi nodded.

“Cousin, what’re you and sis-in-law doing in Dali?” Qian Duoduo asked, puzzled.

Lin Jingzhi replied, “I’m buying a batch of jade.”

“How about taking me along?” Qian Duoduo said, “I’m bored out of my mind at home.”

This guy wasn’t just a simp, he was a jobless drifter.

“You can come, but what about that girl in the hospital? You bailing on her?” Ye Qiu asked.

Last night at Platinum Club, after Xiao Tao got hurt, Qian Duoduo took her to the hospital.

“Cousin, don’t talk nonsense, Xiao Tao and I are clean,” Qian Duoduo said, “I told her we’re just friends, not lovers.”

“Why?”

Ye Qiu was stunned. Last night, he saw Qian Duoduo was into Xiao Tao, and she seemed to like him back.

They could’ve leveled up from friends, so why’d Qian Duoduo pass?

Qian Duoduo said, “I date for marriage. I can’t give Xiao Tao that commitment, so I won’t waste her time.”

Huh, this guy’s got *principles*?

Surprising!

Ye Qiu was about to praise him when Qian Duoduo added, “I only love my goddess.”

“Who’s that?” Ye Qiu asked.

Qian Duoduo grinned, “Cousin, no need to pry. When the time’s right, I’ll bring her to meet you.”

Ye Qiu recalled Qian Duoduo’s diary and warned, “Duoduo, in love, men and women are equals. Don’t grovel to girls, or you’ll end up with nothing.”

Qian Duoduo bristled, “Cousin, what’s that mean? You calling me a simp?”

“Aren’t you?” Ye Qiu shot back.

Qian Duoduo said, “Cousin, you’re off base. Loving someone makes me a simp? She goes to hotels with others using *my* money, isn’t that love?”

Ye Qiu: “…”

Lin Jingzhi: “…”

Not just a simp, a *doomed* simp!

Speechless!

Ye Qiu changed the subject, “Duoduo, that card Ma Dong’s dad gave tonight has ten million.”

“Keep five million, give the other five to Shiyu.”

“She’s just divorced, raising a kid alone, she’ll need cash.”

Qian Duoduo said, “Keep it all for Shiyu. I don’t need money now.”

“Up to you.”

Ye Qiu took Lin Jingzhi back to their room, and soon, a fiery showdown erupted inside.

Qian Duoduo drove off, leaving the Qian estate for his own place.

On the way, a thought struck.

“Sis-in-law’s buying jade in Dali. Should I grab some too, get in on her business?”

“They all call me useless, even that creep Gao Fei looks down on me. I’ve gotta make something of myself.”

“But jade takes capital, and I’m broke!”

He had the ten-million-yuan card, but that was for Qian Shiyu.

Besides that, just the five million Sun Wu paid as compensation.

“Five million’s not enough for jade. Gotta figure something out.”

Qian Duoduo’s eyes lit up with a plan.

Knock, knock!

Back at his villa, he rapped on Guo Yuting’s door, calling, “Mom, you asleep?”

“Not yet, watching TV,” Guo Yuting replied from inside.

Qian Duoduo entered, saw Guo Yuting lounging on the sofa watching TV, no sign of Qian Weidong.

“Where’s Dad?” he asked.

“Out drinking with business partners,” Guo Yuting said, “Grandpa wants us back at the estate. Your dad and I talked, we’ll pick an auspicious day to move in a few days.”

Qian Duoduo’s eyes gleamed, “Mom, what about this house?”

“What else? It’s yours, for when you get married.”

“Mom, this place is barely a few years old, but by the time I marry, it’ll be dated. Not great for a wedding house.”

In Suzhou tradition, newlyweds usually got a new house.

Guo Yuting nodded, “Fair point. We’ll sell it later, buy you a new one when you’re ready.”

“Cool,” Qian Duoduo said, then shifted gears, “Mom, with all the family drama lately, you must be wiped out, right?”

Guo Yuting smiled, “I’m fine. Your dad’s the one swamped, juggling family stuff and business, totally drained.”

“Mom, don’t play tough. Look at you, exhausted.”

“Seeing you like this breaks my heart.”

“Let me give you a massage!”

Before Guo Yuting could respond, Qian Duoduo started kneading her shoulders.

Guo Yuting was floored. No matter how much she’d complained about being tired before, Qian Duoduo never cared, never this attentive.

“Duoduo, what’s with the change these days?” she asked, suspicious.

Qian Duoduo sighed, “The stuff going down at home hit me hard. I reflected, realized I’ve been a total screw-up. Grown up and done nothing, always stressing you and Dad out. I feel awful.”

“Mom, I’ve decided, I’m gonna hustle, make something of myself, make you and Dad proud.”

Guo Yuting’s eyes welled up with joy.

“Oh, Mom, the family wealth’s all mine someday, right?” Qian Duoduo slipped in.

Guo Yuting laughed, “Yep, your dad and I grind for you.”

“So, technically, what you’re spending now is mine?”

Guo Yuting sensed a trap, “What’re you getting at?”

“Mom, if it’s gonna be mine eventually, using some savings now isn’t a big deal, right?”

“What? You’re eyeing our savings? I’ll whack you!”

Next morning, Ye Qiu, Lin Jingzhi, and Qian Duoduo flew south.

They landed in Dali at 2 p.m.
