 Miracle Doctor Chapter 601

Several people jumped in fright, all staring at the coffin hovering in the air.

Ye Qiu quietly activated his Heavenly Eye, trying to see what was inside, but his vision couldn’t pierce the coffin.

He instantly realized this coffin was no ordinary thing!

“Martial Uncle, how about we just leave?” Shuisheng said, a bit scared.

Elder Changmei snorted, “I’ve gone through hell to get here, the Heavenly Master Sword is within reach, how could I leave empty-handed?”

“Little brat, do as I say, cut the chains.”

“If some peerless monster’s in there, we can take it down together.”

Ye Qiu leapt up, swiftly slashing four times.

The Emperor Sword Chixiao was razor-sharp, the iron chains snapped in an instant, and the coffin crashed to the ground with a thunderous boom.

Ye Qiu and Elder Changmei stepped forward, eyeing the coffin closely, neither daring to open it rashly.

The coffin was pitch black, adorned with intricate dragon carvings.

“This coffin seems to be made of wood,” Ye Qiu suddenly said.

Elder Changmei nodded, “Yes, it’s definitely wood.”

Ye Qiu grew curious, saying, “If Zhang Tianshi put the Heavenly Master Sword in this coffin, it means this coffin was already here when he arrived.”

“Zhang Tianshi lived a thousand years ago, so has this coffin been here for over a millennium?”

“I’m puzzled, what kind of wood lasts a thousand years without rotting?”

At that, Ye Qiu froze, locking eyes with Elder Changmei, both blurting out, “Golden Silk Nanmu!”

Golden Silk Nanmu was an ultra-rare wood, and coffins made from it were insanely pricey.

In ancient times, only emperors could use Golden Silk Nanmu coffins after death, regular nobles and commoners needed special imperial favor to get one, unauthorized use meant execution of nine generations.

Why did emperors covet it? Simple—Golden Silk Nanmu could last a thousand years without decay, ten thousand without rot.

To test their hunch, Elder Changmei pulled out a dagger and scraped the coffin.

Beneath the black lacquer was red lacquer.

He scraped again, under the red was brown.

He kept going.

After ten minutes of work, the lacquer was gone, revealing golden wood grain, shimmering like gold.

“No mistake, this is Golden Silk Nanmu, but not just any kind—it’s Yinchen wood,” Elder Changmei said.

Ye Qiu gasped.

Yinchen wood, or ebony, formed when trees got buried in ancient riverbeds or mud after earthquakes, floods, or landslides, carbonizing over millions of years under oxygen deprivation, pressure, and microbes.

Its rarity earned it the name “Eastern Divine Wood.”

An old saying went: “A house with ten thousand taels of gold isn’t worth a block of ebony.”

That showed its value.

Ebony coffins didn’t rot for ten thousand years, resisted bugs and water, the ultimate burial luxury for feudal emperors.

But ebony was scarce.

So, many emperors settled for Golden Silk Nanmu instead.

What stunned Elder Changmei was this coffin being both—Golden Silk Nanmu turned ebony.

Meaning the wood had carbonized for at least a thousand years.

A coffin like this was a once-in-a-millennium treasure.

“Someone who could afford this coffin wasn’t ordinary, maybe not an emperor, but close enough,” Elder Changmei said, “Those ashes and bones outside? Probably sacrificial burials.”

He paused, then asked, “Little brat, know how much this coffin’s worth?”

“How much?”

Elder Changmei held up five fingers.

Ye Qiu guessed, “Fifty million?”

Elder Changmei shook his head.

“Five hundred million?”

Still a shake.

“Five billion?” Ye Qiu couldn’t believe it, “Just a coffin, worth that much?”

“You’re off, it’s fifty billion!”

Hiss—

Ye Qiu sucked in a breath, eyes blazing, “Old man, let’s figure out how to haul this out, split the cash fifty-fifty.”

“No way, it’s too precious to sell,” Shuisheng cut in, “Martial Uncle, when you die, I’ll bury you in it.”

“Am I not filial, Martial Uncle?”

Smack!

Elder Changmei slapped Shuisheng’s forehead, roaring, “Curse me to die again, and I’ll end you first!”

“Martial Uncle, I’m looking out for you, you don’t appreciate it and hit me?” Shuisheng whined, aggrieved.

“Shut up, kid,” Elder Changmei glared, then turned to Ye Qiu, “I’m not long for this world, money’s useless to me, but if you agree to one thing, I’ll help you get this coffin out.”

“What’s that?”

“Protect Dragon Tiger Mountain for my lifetime!”

“Deal,” Ye Qiu agreed without hesitation.

“With that promise, I’m at ease, let’s open it,” Elder Changmei said, then barked at Shuisheng, “Gimme the bag.”

Shuisheng handed it over.

Elder Changmei pulled out a candle, lit it, and set it in the cave’s southeast corner.

Next, he grabbed a handful of sticky rice, sprinkling it around the coffin.

Finally, he took out three Corpse-Suppressing Talismans, keeping one, giving the others to Ye Qiu and Shuisheng.

“The Patriarch put the Heavenly Master Sword in here, meaning whatever’s inside has turned, no need for the sword to suppress it otherwise.”

“When we open it, if anything’s off, little brat, slap the talisman on its forehead fast.”

“Let’s do it!”

Elder Changmei stepped back with Shuisheng.

Ye Qiu stood by the coffin, took a deep breath, pressed his hands on the lid, and was about to push.

Clang!

Suddenly, the lid jolted, sliding aside a crack, a frigid yin aura seeped out, bone-chilling, like a ghost possession.

Ye Qiu shivered, stepping back quick, eyes locked on the lid.

“Old man, careful, it’s dangerous.”

Right as he spoke, another “clang,” the lid flew off, and a figure stood straight up from inside.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 602

A figure suddenly stood upright from inside the coffin.

“Ghost!” Shuisheng screamed in terror, darting behind Elder Changmei.

Ye Qiu gripped the Emperor Sword tightly, while Elder Changmei clutched a Corpse-Suppressing Talisman.

Both wore grave expressions.

After a tense wait with no movement from the figure, Ye Qiu and Elder Changmei exchanged a glance and cautiously approached the coffin.

They stopped a meter away.

Peering closely.

They saw the figure was eight feet tall, wearing a golden crown and a black robe stitched with gold thread.

An ancient corpse.

At its waist hung a simple three-foot sword.

The scabbard bore an engraved Bagua pattern.

The Heavenly Master Sword!

“Finally found it,” Elder Changmei said, barely containing his excitement, reaching for the sword.

“Wait,” Ye Qiu stopped him, “Old man, look at its face.”

Elder Changmei then noticed the corpse’s face was plastered with Corpse-Suppressing Talismans, at least a dozen, covering it entirely.

“These are Dragon Tiger Mountain talismans, likely left by the Patriarch,” Elder Changmei said, his eyes flickering, “With so many talismans and the Heavenly Master Sword pinning it, this thing didn’t just turn, it might be a full-on zombie.”

He turned to Shuisheng, “You grab the sword.”

“Martial Uncle, you do it, this guy looks bad news, I’ve got no martial skills, if he attacks, I’m dead meat,” Shuisheng said, stepping back further.

“You coward, I’m right here, what’s to fear? You’re a born saint, evil can’t touch you, quit stalling, get the sword,” Elder Changmei snapped.

“No way—”

“Now!” Elder Changmei barked, “Disobey me, and I’ll kill you myself.”

Ye Qiu chimed in, “Shuisheng, take it, if anything goes wrong, your Martial Uncle’s got you.”

“Him protect me?” Shuisheng scoffed, “He’s barely saving himself, I don’t trust him.”

“You—” Elder Changmei fumed.

“Don’t trust him, but don’t you trust me?” Ye Qiu said, “If there’s danger, I’ll strike first.”

“Fine, then,” Shuisheng hesitated, then crept toward the coffin, shakily reaching for the sword.

Elder Changmei watched, seething.

“Damn it, how’d Dragon Tiger Mountain raise such a spineless kid, I oughta kick you out.”

“Kick me, and who’s getting your sword?” Shuisheng shot back.

“Less talk, more action.”

Shuisheng snatched the Heavenly Master Sword off.

The moment it left the corpse, chaos broke loose.

Puff!

The corpse’s clothes disintegrated into dust, revealing flawless, jade-like skin, gleaming and pristine.

Lifelike.

How was this possible?

Shuisheng’s eyes widened, staring in disbelief.

He couldn’t fathom how a thousand-year-old corpse stayed so perfect.

Ye Qiu said, “In ancient times, some masters knew secret preservation techniques.”

“I heard Wu Zetian’s body still looked like it did when she died, true or not, no one knows, her tomb’s still sealed.”

“But one thing’s well-known.”

“When Sun Dianying raided the Eastern Tombs, they opened it and found Empress Dowager Cixi’s body perfectly preserved, her face stunning, like a sleeping beauty.”

“It was because she had a priceless night pearl in her mouth, Sun Dianying pried it out with a knife, and her body rotted instantly.”

Shuisheng pondered, “Dr. Ye, you mean this corpse is so intact because there’s treasure in its mouth?”

“Treasure or not, just take a peek,” Ye Qiu joked.

But Shuisheng took it seriously.

Gritting his teeth, he prepared to climb into the coffin to check the corpse’s mouth, when Elder Changmei’s sharp whisper stopped him.

“Hold it!”

Shuisheng turned, seeing Elder Changmei’s grim face, “What’s wrong, Martial Uncle?”

Ye Qiu looked puzzled too.

Elder Changmei said gravely, “The candle’s out.”

Ye Qiu glanced back.

Sure enough, the southeast corner candle had gone dark.

Elder Changmei explained, “Man lights the candle, ghosts blow it out. Ancient tomb raiders always lit a candle in the southeast corner before opening a coffin, if it went out, they had to leave fast, taking nothing.”

“It’s said to be a pact between the dead and the living, set by the Gold-Touching School’s founder, upheld for a thousand years, no exceptions.”

“Ye Qiu, looks like we’re not getting this coffin out.”

Shuisheng asked, “Martial Uncle, you said take nothing, so do we put the Heavenly Master Sword back?”

“Like hell!” Elder Changmei snapped, “It’s Dragon Tiger Mountain’s sacred treasure, we’re just reclaiming it.”

Ye Qiu eyed the corpse, “We shouldn’t stay, let’s go…”

Puff!

Suddenly, the dozen talismans on the corpse’s face turned to dust, revealing a man’s face.

About forty years old.

Square jaw, thick brows.

Eyes shut, yet exuding an aura of stern authority, while his joints cracked and popped, sending chills down their spines.

“Bad news, he’s waking up, run!” Elder Changmei shouted, turning to bolt for the cave exit, when the corpse’s eyes snapped open.

What a pair of eyes.

Blood-red pupils, like fresh gore, brimming with murderous intent.

“He’s awake.”

Elder Changmei flinched, ready to slap his talisman on the corpse’s forehead, but as he got close, it punched him flying.

Bang!

He hit the ground, spitting blood, ignoring his injuries, yelling at Ye Qiu, “Little brat, stick the talisman on its forehead!”

Before Ye Qiu could act, the corpse launched out of the coffin.

“Holy crap, a Flying Corpse!” Elder Changmei’s face paled.

Zombies varied in strength, Flying Corpses, or Corpse Kings, were agile and powerful, immune to most spells.

Ignoring Ye Qiu and Shuisheng, it lunged straight for Elder Changmei.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 603

Elder Changmei was on guard, the moment he saw the ancient corpse flying at him, he darted back swiftly.

This was a Corpse King, its combat power overwhelming.

Even at his peak, Elder Changmei couldn’t take it.

“Run!” he shouted to Ye Qiu and Shuisheng, bolting for the cave exit.

Shuisheng froze in terror, staring at the corpse, legs refusing to move despite his urge to flee.

Ye Qiu grabbed his shoulder, dragging him toward the exit in a flash.

In an instant, they reached the opening.

Ye Qiu glanced back, the corpse had caught up to Elder Changmei, attacking him.

Oddly, though an ancient corpse, it moved with startling agility and monstrous strength.

Elder Changmei didn’t dare clash head-on, dodging constantly, teetering on the edge.

Ye Qiu’s heart sank, if this kept up, Elder Changmei wouldn’t last long.

“Shuisheng, get out, I’m helping the old man.”

With that, Ye Qiu stepped forward, appearing three meters behind the corpse.

“Hey!” he yelled at it.

The corpse paused its assault, turning to glance at Ye Qiu with blood-red eyes.

“Come play with me,” Ye Qiu taunted, hooking a finger provocatively.

But to his shock, after a brief look, the corpse resumed attacking Elder Changmei.

“What the hell, why’re you hitting me?”

“Go hit him!”

“Didn’t you see someone provoke you? Blind bastard!”

Elder Changmei cursed wildly while dodging.

As if it understood, the corpse let out a guttural growl, striking faster and harder.

“Bang!”

Elder Changmei was half a beat slow, his shoulder grazed by the corpse’s fist wind, sending him crashing to the ground.

He spat blood.

Before he could rise, the corpse advanced again.

“Hey!” Ye Qiu called out once more.

It turned to him again.

Ye Qiu pointed the Emperor Sword at it, radiating battle intent, “Bullying the elderly’s no skill, come spar with me.”

Who’re you calling elderly, punk?

Watch your mouth.

Elder Changmei shot Ye Qiu a furious glare.

“Grandson, come let Grandpa see what you’ve got,” Ye Qiu taunted the corpse.

He figured if it understood speech, it’d attack him, especially since its lofty status wouldn’t tolerate insults.

To his disbelief, after another glance, it kept heading for Elder Changmei.

What’s going on?

Ye Qiu was stumped.

Why’s this thing fixated on the old man?

As he stood baffled, the corpse closed in on Elder Changmei.

“Ugly freak!”

Shuisheng shouted from the cave mouth, “You ugly freak, picking on my Martial Uncle’s no feat, come at me if you dare!”

The corpse paused, looked at Shuisheng for two seconds, then continued toward Elder Changmei.

Shuisheng blinked, “Martial Uncle, what’s happening?”

“How should I know? Little brat, if you don’t act, this thing’ll kill me!” Elder Changmei spat, furious.

He couldn’t figure out why it targeted only him, he hadn’t wronged it.

Screw it, I’ll fight you to the death!

A fierce glint flashed in his eyes as he pulled out several Flame Talismans, hurling them.

Whoosh!

Flames engulfed the corpse, roaring.

Crackling sounds erupted as green fur, ten centimeters long, sprouted visibly across its skin.

Corpse hair?

Elder Changmei’s heart sank, “Oh no, it’s getting stronger.”

Its eyes grew redder, gleaming with bloodlust.

“Roar!”

With a bellow, the flames snuffed out, and it leapt, soaring at Elder Changmei.

Seeing the danger, Ye Qiu charged, slashing its shoulder.

“Clang!”

The blade struck like it hit peerless meteoric iron, sparking wildly.

Ye Qiu’s pupils shrank.

The corpse was unscathed.

The Emperor Sword left no mark.

This…

He was floored.

He hadn’t expected its body to be so tough, shrugging off the Emperor Sword.

Ignoring Ye Qiu, it stalked toward Elder Changmei, its gaze menacing, eyes like twin lanterns radiating sharp intent.

Elder Changmei gritted his teeth.

“Think I’m a pushover? Fine, taste my real power.”

He bit his right index and middle fingers, forming a sword gesture, scribbling in the air.

“Heaven and Earth heed me, left holds the Southern Dipper, right the Seven Stars, defy me and perish, obey and thrive, Nine Heavens Mysterious Thunder, come swift as law!”

Blood streamed from his fingers as he chanted, forming a giant “Thunder” in the air, then five bolts of lightning struck the corpse’s crown.

“Boom!”

Thunder roared.

“Argh…” the corpse howled, its face twisting.

Seizing the moment, Ye Qiu flicked a sword finger.

Whoosh!

The Six Meridian Divine Sword hit its throat, sparking like it struck steel.

The throat remained intact.

Ye Qiu was speechless, its durability was unreal.

“Let’s see how tough you really are.”

Running the Nine-Turn Dragon Technique, he gripped the Emperor Sword, leapt, and slashed.

“Grass Sword Art!”

Boom!

Terrifying sword qi slammed into the corpse.

“Argh…” it screamed.

Under Ye Qiu’s mighty strike, cracks finally webbed its skin.

But just faint cracks, not fatal.

Ye Qiu sucked in a breath.

That strike, plus the Six Meridian hit, could’ve crippled a master like Long Qi from the Forbidden City, yet this corpse barely scratched.

Insane!

“Little brat, use the Heavenly Master Sword, quick!” Elder Changmei yelled.

Ye Qiu blurred to Shuisheng, snatched the sword, and drew it.

Then froze.

It was feather-light, like holding a sponge, weightless.

Looking down, he cursed.

“Damn it, it’s wood!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 604

Ye Qiu never could’ve imagined that the treasured Heavenly Master Sword of Dragon Tiger Mountain was just a wooden sword.

“After all that hardship, the old man nearly lost his life, and it was all for this lousy wooden sword?”

Ye Qiu felt like he’d been utterly screwed.

He wanted to tell Elder Longbrow, “If I’d known, I’d have found a carpenter to make you thousands of wooden swords instead.”

“Little brat, quick, kill him!” Elder Longbrow shouted again.

Ye Qiu had doubts about Elder Longbrow’s words. “Even the Emperor’s Sword couldn’t kill him—how’s a wooden sword supposed to do it?”

“Stop bloody talking nonsense and strike!”

Ye Qiu hesitated for a moment before charging at the ancient corpse, slashing its arm with the sword.

As he’d expected, the result was predictable.

The wooden sword left no mark on the corpse.

“I knew it—this broken wooden sword’s useless.” No sooner had Ye Qiu spoken than a wisp of black smoke suddenly rose from the corpse’s arm.

Three seconds later, the arm snapped off with a loud crack.

“Ahh…”

A piercing scream erupted from the corpse’s mouth.

“Huh? This lousy wooden sword actually works?” Surprised, Ye Qiu struck again.

This time, he slashed at the corpse’s neck.

Soon, black smoke billowed from the neck, and with another agonised scream, the corpse’s head detached from its body.

“Finally got rid of this guy.”

Ye Qiu had just breathed a sigh of relief when his face twisted in horror.

The headless corpse started walking toward Elder Longbrow with big strides. Despite losing its head, it seemed unaffected.

The sight was downright chilling.

Elder Longbrow yelled in a panic, “Little brat, what are you dawdling for? Strike again—finish him off!”

Whoosh!

Ye Qiu swiftly slashed twice at the corpse’s legs. More black smoke rose, and both legs broke off. With a thud, the corpse collapsed to the ground.

Its torso writhed for a moment before slowly crawling up again. Even without a head or legs, it kept inching toward Elder Longbrow.

Its speed was much slower now, and it couldn’t fly anymore, which only made it creepier.

“He… he can’t be killed!” Shuisheng cried out in terror.

At this point, even Ye Qiu felt his scalp tingling, let alone Shuisheng.

“Damn it, I’ll see if you really can’t die!” Gripping the Heavenly Master Sword, Ye Qiu strode up to the corpse and swung relentlessly.

One strike, two strikes, three strikes…

Thirty-six strikes in total!

All landed on the corpse’s body.

After a while, thick black smoke poured from the corpse.

Then came another horrifying twist.

The head, which had separated from the neck, suddenly let out a shrill scream.

“Ahh…”

Startled, Ye Qiu spun around to stare at the head.

At that moment, Elder Longbrow struggled to his feet, approached the head, and pulled the Heavenly Master Seal from his robe sleeve. Muttering an incantation, he pressed the seal onto the corpse’s forehead.

Instantly, the seal seemed to activate, bursting with brilliant white light.

“AHHH…”

The corpse screamed hysterically, its head thrashing violently, trying to break free from the seal.

Elder Longbrow held it down with all his strength.

After about two minutes, the screams faded into a low groan. Finally, the head melted into a puddle of thick, greenish ooze, reeking unbearably.

At the same time, the corpse’s body dissolved into a similar puddle.

“Worth its name as a thousand-year corpse king. Without the Heavenly Master Sword and Seal, we probably couldn’t have killed it.”

With that, Elder Longbrow collapsed onto the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

“Old man!” Ye Qiu exclaimed, grabbing Elder Longbrow’s wrist. His heart sank.

Elder Longbrow was done for!

“The life-extension talisman can only last four hours at most. I used the Secret Art of Heaven’s Will and the Five Thunder Orthodox Method. Now, I’m truly at the end of my rope.”

Elder Longbrow’s face was ashen, his voice weak and breathless.

“Martial Uncle.” Shuisheng crouched beside him, tears welling up.

“Birth, aging, sickness, death—it’s the way of all humans. No one escapes it. Finding the Heavenly Master Sword means I can die without regrets.”

Elder Longbrow managed a faint smile before giving his final instructions. “Shuisheng, from now on, the Heavenly Master Sword and Seal are yours to guard.”

“I’ve written down the secrets to cultivating the Five Thunder Orthodox Method. They’re under my bedroom pillow. Study them later and aim to master it soon.”

“Also, you’ll be the next leader of Dragon Tiger Mountain.”

“Martial Uncle, no, I can’t!” Shuisheng wiped his tears. “I lack talent and virtue—I can’t lead. I’m afraid I’ll mess it up.”

“Don’t be afraid. Before I left Dragon Tiger Mountain, I settled things with the elders.”

“They’ll support and assist you.”

“Shuisheng, I won’t get the chance to lead Dragon Tiger Mountain to glory in this lifetime. That hope rests on you now. Don’t let me down!”

“If you run into trouble you can’t handle, find Ye Qiu. He’ll help you.”

Elder Longbrow paused, then added, “Shuisheng, hand me the backpack.”

Shuisheng passed it over.

Elder Longbrow reached to open it, but his hands wouldn’t lift.

He was too weak.

Shuisheng quickly opened it for him. “Martial Uncle, what do you need? I’ll get it.”

“There’s a wine jug inside. Give it to me.”

Shuisheng pulled out the jug, removed the cork, and held it to Elder Longbrow’s lips, letting him sip.

Elder Longbrow raised his voice: “When there’s wine in life, one must get drunk—how could a single drop reach the underworld?”

“Ye Qiu, I entrust Shuisheng and Dragon Tiger Mountain to you.”

“And don’t forget what I asked of you.”

Ye Qiu nodded. “Don’t worry, I remember everything. Old man, anything else you need to say? I’ll handle it.”

“Nah, I’ve said all there is to say…”

Crack!

Before Elder Longbrow could finish, a large chunk of the stone wall in front of them shattered, startling all three.

They looked up at the wall together.

Etched into it were numerous characters, illuminated clearly by the ninety-nine eternal lamps.

“While wandering the world, I, a humble Daoist, stumbled upon Dalong Mountain, where corpse energy soared to the heavens, prompting me to investigate.”

“I discovered that Dalong Mountain was originally a land of true dragons, but it fell into the hands of someone with shallow fortune, turning it into a deadly place. The corpses buried here have undergone corpse transformation and gained considerable power.”

“I intended to slay it with one strike, but an unexpected event forced me to leave in haste.”

“To prevent the corpse from wreaking havoc in the world, I used my sword and a corpse-suppressing talisman to seal it before departing.”

“I foresaw that, a thousand years later, Longbrow, a descendant of Dragon Tiger Mountain, would come to retrieve the sword. I left an item to help him survive a life-or-death crisis.”

“Additionally, I prepared a meeting gift each for Ye Qiu and Shuisheng, hoping we might meet again in fate.”

“Dragon Tiger Mountain, Zhang Daoling!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 605

After reading the words on the stone wall, Ye Qiu felt a deep shock and exclaimed in awe, “Master Zhang calculated a thousand years ago that we’d come here. Truly a divine figure!”

“You don’t even know who Master Zhang is?” Elder Longbrow said proudly. “Master Zhang isn’t just the founder of Dragon Tiger Mountain—he’s the only one from our sect to ascend to immortality.”

“Martial Uncle, are there really immortals in this world?” Shuisheng asked.

“If there weren’t immortals, where did all those ancient myths and legends come from?” Elder Longbrow replied. “I firmly believe our founder became an immortal.”

“Old man, Master Zhang said he hopes to meet us again—what does that mean?” Ye Qiu asked. “Are we actually going to see him?”

“Who knows? Maybe one day we’ll really meet the founder,” Elder Longbrow said.

He glanced around the stone wall, puzzled. “Strange. The founder said he left something here to help me survive a life-or-death crisis. Where is it?”

“Yeah, he also said he prepared a meeting gift for me and Dr. Ye. Where are they?” Shuisheng added. “Master Zhang isn’t tricking us, is he?”

“Nonsense! The founder is a divine immortal—why would he trick you?” Elder Longbrow snapped. “If he said he left us something, it’s definitely here.”

“Little brat, I’ve got no strength left. Help me look for it,” he said to Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu nodded slightly and began searching the cave.

After a while, he reached the coffin. Peering inside, he spotted a square wooden box.

The box had five characters carved on it: “This is for Longbrow.”

Ye Qiu recognised Master Zhang’s handwriting at a glance.

He bent down, picked up the box, and returned to Elder Longbrow. “Found what Master Zhang left for you.”

“Little brat, open it for me, will you?” Elder Longbrow gave a wry smile. “I’ve got no strength left at all.”

Ye Qiu opened the box, revealing a dark, glossy pill with a strange, pleasant fragrance.

He handed it to Elder Longbrow.

Elder Longbrow’s body jolted. “The Bliss Pill.”

“You know it?” Ye Qiu was surprised, as even he couldn’t identify the pill.

Elder Longbrow’s expression turned awkward. He couldn’t exactly admit he’d seen this pill in the illusion of the third trial.

“What’s it for?” Ye Qiu asked.

“It can heal the backlash of the Heavenly Dao on my body,” Elder Longbrow explained.

Ye Qiu’s eyes lit up. “You’re serious?”

“Look at me—do I need to lie to you now?” No sooner had Elder Longbrow spoken than Ye Qiu stuffed the Bliss Pill into his mouth.

The pill melted instantly. In that moment, Elder Longbrow felt as if he’d fallen into the clouds, floating in bliss.

Five minutes later, he closed his eyes and sat cross-legged. Soon, a warm current rose from his dantian.

After a while longer, Ye Qiu and Shuisheng watched as Elder Longbrow’s dry, white hair turned jet-black and glossy.

Not only that—his facial wrinkles vanished in an instant, making him look ten years younger.

“Good heavens, the pill Master Zhang left is incredible!” Shuisheng exclaimed.

Ye Qiu was equally stunned.

He’d been helpless against the Heavenly Dao backlash on Elder Longbrow, yet Master Zhang had cured it with a single pill.

Truly, Master Zhang was a divine being.

Ten minutes later, Elder Longbrow opened his eyes and burst into laughter. “Hahaha, this old man’s fully healed!”

He leapt up, dancing with joy like a child.

Ye Qiu and Shuisheng were thrilled too.

“Little brat, I’m warning you—don’t mess with me from now on, or I’ll thrash you,” Elder Longbrow said, a powerful aura radiating from him.

True Qi!

Ye Qiu’s heart skipped a beat.

Elder Longbrow grinned smugly. “The Bliss Pill didn’t just heal my Heavenly Dao backlash—it pushed my cultivation to a breakthrough, letting me grasp True Qi.”

“Shame Xiao Jiu isn’t here, or I’d slap him dead with one hit.”

“Only now do I get it—being a master is lonely!”

Pretentious git!

Ye Qiu’s face was full of disdain.

“By the way, didn’t the founder say he left meeting gifts for you two? Found them yet?” Elder Longbrow asked.

“Found nothing. Shuisheng and I were guarding you, worried you’d croak,” Ye Qiu grumbled.

“Then what are you waiting for? Start looking!” Elder Longbrow said, joining Ye Qiu and Shuisheng in the search.

The three scoured the cave but found nothing.

“Odd. Where could it be?” Ye Qiu frowned.

“I’m seriously starting to think Master Zhang was pulling our leg,” Shuisheng insisted.

Elder Longbrow snapped, “Piss off and look at yourself in a puddle. A mundane fool like you—why would the founder bother tricking you?”

“If he said he left gifts for you, they’re here. We just haven’t found them yet.”

“Little brat, you agree with me, right?”

Ye Qiu nodded.

He believed someone like Master Zhang wouldn’t lie or have any reason to deceive them.

But where were the items?

Ye Qiu quietly activated his Heavenly Eye, scanning the cave. His gaze finally settled on a stone wall.

He walked over and smashed it with a punch.

Boom!

The wall shattered, revealing a round, table-sized hollow.

Inside were two wooden boxes—one square, one rectangular.

The rectangular box bore the inscription: “This is for Shuisheng.”

The square one read: “This is for Ye Qiu.”

Ye Qiu took the rectangular box and handed it to Shuisheng.

“Open it quick—see what treasure Master Zhang left you!” Elder Longbrow urged.

Shuisheng opened it, revealing a sheepskin scroll. The cover bore three ancient seal characters:

Golden Light Mantra!

Elder Longbrow sucked in a sharp breath.

Dragon Tiger Mountain had over a hundred spells, and the Golden Light Mantra ranked first!

Legend had it that mastering it granted immunity to all evil and boasted power surpassing even the Five Thunder Orthodox Method.

But the Golden Light Mantra had been lost to Dragon Tiger Mountain five hundred years ago.

Elder Longbrow never imagined Master Zhang’s gift to Shuisheng would be this.

“Shuisheng, the founder gave you the Golden Light Mantra. That shows how much he expects of you. Practice it well—don’t let him down.”

After speaking, he prodded Ye Qiu. “Hurry up and grab your box. Let’s see what treasure the founder left you!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 606

Ye Qiu was somewhat curious about what kind of treasure Zhang Tianshi’s meeting gift to him might be.

Though he hadn’t opened the wooden box, he knew the contents must be extraordinary.

After all, given Zhang Tianshi’s status, his gift wouldn’t be anything shabby.

Ye Qiu bent down to retrieve the box, but then his expression turned odd.

“Little brat, what are you dawdling for? Hurry up and take it out!” Elder Longbrow urged impatiently.

“Old man, if you’re in such a rush, you take it!” Ye Qiu said, stepping back two paces.

Elder Longbrow stepped forward, grasping the box with both hands, intending to pull it from the hollow. The next second, his face changed.

“What are you stalling for? Take it out already!” Ye Qiu laughed from the side.

“Hmph, don’t think I can’t do it.” Elder Longbrow exerted force with both hands, yet the box didn’t budge.

“Ah—” With a loud shout, he summoned all his strength, his face flushing red, veins bulging on his forehead, but the box still didn’t move an inch.

“Damn it, what’s inside this thing? Why’s it so heavy?”

Elder Longbrow let go, retreating to Ye Qiu’s side, staring at the box with astonishment.

The box was square, about thirty centimeters long. Even if it held a gold brick, he should’ve been able to lift it easily.

What he hadn’t expected was that the box wouldn’t budge, as if it had taken root.

After taking the Bliss Pill, not only had his cultivation recovered, but he’d also grasped True Qi. His full strength now reached a thousand jin.

Yet even so, he couldn’t shift the box in the slightest.

This suggested the object inside weighed at least two thousand jin!

Shocked yet intrigued, Elder Longbrow said, “Little brat, take the box out. Let me see what’s inside.”

Ye Qiu, equally curious, bent down again, grasping the box with both hands.

“Up!”

With a light shout, he lifted the box from the hollow and placed it on the ground.

Elder Longbrow and Shuisheng crowded around.

The three of them stared at the box.

Shuisheng asked, “Martial Uncle, what do you think’s inside?”

“Guess what? Just open it and find out,” Elder Longbrow replied.

He opened the box, and when they saw what was inside, all three froze.

“A cauldron?”

Inside the box sat a fist-sized bronze cauldron.

Elder Longbrow found it hard to believe, exclaiming, “No way, such a tiny cauldron is that heavy?”

“Very heavy?” Shuisheng was skeptical. “Martial Uncle, you’re not joking, right?”

“If you don’t believe it, try it yourself.”

Shuisheng gripped the bronze cauldron with both hands, straining with all his might, but couldn’t lift it from the box.

“Damn, who could lift something this heavy?”

No sooner had he spoken than Ye Qiu, using just one hand, effortlessly picked up the cauldron.

Shuisheng, stunned, said, “Dr. Ye’s a real strongman.”

Elder Longbrow was equally shocked by Ye Qiu’s strength, muttering under his breath, “Freak!”

Ye Qiu examined the cauldron closely.

It had three legs, cast in bronze, adorned with intricate dragon patterns, exuding an ancient, majestic, and weighty aura.

This was Zhang Tianshi’s meeting gift to him?

Ye Qiu found it puzzling.

Why would Zhang Tianshi give him a bronze cauldron?

And though it was small, its immense weight defied common sense.

Anyone who’d taken a physics class knew bronze was less dense than gold, meaning even a solid gold cauldron couldn’t weigh two thousand jin.

So why was this one so heavy?

“Hey, there’s writing at the bottom of the box,” Elder Longbrow suddenly exclaimed.

Ye Qiu looked down and saw several lines of text etched there, in Zhang Tianshi’s handwriting.

“Ye Qiu, keep the Qiankun Cauldron safe, it will be of great use to you in the future.”

Qiankun Cauldron?

The name sounded impressive.

“Old man, ever heard of the Qiankun Cauldron?” Ye Qiu asked.

Elder Longbrow shook his head. “Never.”

Ye Qiu held the cauldron in his palm, studying it further, but found nothing unusual.

This left him baffled.

“A bronze cauldron, how could it be of great use to me?”

Elder Longbrow said, “The founder’s actions always have deep meaning. If he says the Qiankun Cauldron will be useful to you, it definitely will be. Little brat, you’d better keep it safe!”

“Martial Uncle’s right, Dr. Ye. Even if you don’t want it, neither he nor I could move this thing!” Shuisheng laughed.

“If you hadn’t come here, who could’ve lifted this Qiankun Cauldron?”

His words were casual, but they struck Ye Qiu.

He turned to Elder Longbrow. “Old man, do you think Zhang Tianshi calculated a thousand years ago that only I could lift this cauldron?”

“Isn’t that obvious?” Elder Longbrow replied. “It’s precisely because he foresaw you’d come here that he left the Qiankun Cauldron as your meeting gift.”

Ye Qiu’s eyes flickered.

Another thought crossed his mind.

If Zhang Tianshi had predicted a thousand years ago that only Ye Qiu could lift the Qiankun Cauldron, did that mean he knew Ye Qiu had cultivated the Nine-Turn Dragon Art?

Ye Qiu’s strength stemmed from that very technique.

Could there be a connection between the Qiankun Cauldron and the Nine-Turn Dragon Art?

He pondered for a long time but couldn’t figure it out.

Seeing Ye Qiu lost in thought, Elder Longbrow patted his shoulder. “Alright, little brat, if you can’t figure it out, stop thinking. The founder wouldn’t mean you any harm.”

“With things settled here, let’s head back!”

“Mm.” Ye Qiu nodded, placing the Qiankun Cauldron back in the box.

Carrying it, he turned with Elder Longbrow to leave the cave. Only Shuisheng lingered, eyes fixed on the coffin, gleaming with excitement.

Elder Longbrow glanced back and barked, “Kid, what are you staring at? Let’s go!”

“Martial Uncle, let’s figure out a way to take that coffin out. It’s worth fifty billion! If we sell it, we’ll be rich,” Shuisheng said.

“Vulgar!”

Elder Longbrow glared at him, saying sternly, “Money’s just an external thing, you don’t bring it into life or take it to death. What’s the use?”

“Besides, a gentleman loves wealth but earns it honorably.”

“You’ve killed the guy, and now you want to sell his coffin? Is that something a person does?”

Then he turned to Ye Qiu. “Little brat, let’s find a way to get this coffin out and split the profits.”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 607

Hearing the words of Master Longbrow, Shuisheng was so angry that his mouth twisted.

All that talk of righteousness and morality, but in the end, it was just about selling it for a profit.

Shameless!

Ye Qiu, too, felt a flicker of temptation.

This coffin was worth fifty billion, and if sold, twenty-five billion would land in his pocket.

You see, ninety-nine percent of the people in this world could never earn twenty-five billion in their entire lives.

With that money, Ye Qiu could become a top-tier tycoon.

After a moment of contemplation, Ye Qiu let out a long sigh. “Forget it!”

“Why?” Master Longbrow asked, puzzled.

Ye Qiu replied, “We’ve already gained plenty from this trip to Dalong Mountain. Let’s not set our sights on this coffin too.”

“This coffin is a rare treasure, unseen for a thousand years—truly a national treasure.”

“I’ll have the people from the Underworld Palace come here later, transport it away, and donate it to the nation.”

Master Longbrow was a bit reluctant.

“Little brat, think it over. This isn’t just a coffin—it’s a massive fortune within arm’s reach. Donating it to the nation seems a pity!”

Ye Qiu said calmly, “Old man, one must be content in life. Only with contentment comes lasting happiness.”

“On this trip, you’ve not only found the Celestial Master Sword but also obtained the Bliss Pill, healed your injuries, and comprehended true qi. Your gains are already immense.”

“Besides, at your age, what do you need so much money for?”

Master Longbrow chuckled. “Who ever complains about having too much money? Look at those big tycoons—sixty or seventy years old and still scrambling to earn more.”

“And how many of those tycoons have met a good end?” Ye Qiu retorted. “Look at those former richest men who once stood on pedestals—now they’re either scorned by millions or locked up in prison. Do you want to end up like them?”

Ye Qiu continued, “Money can’t be earned endlessly. Greed isn’t a virtue—it might even ruin you.”

Master Longbrow finally relented. “Fine, I’ll listen to you this time. Let’s just say it’s a contribution to the country!”

The three left the stone cave and returned to the outside of the mountain.

“Martial Uncle, should we head back the way we came or find another route?” Shuisheng asked.

“No rush. Let me consult the divination first.” Master Longbrow pulled out three copper coins, muttering incantations under his breath as he began his fortune-telling.

After a while, Master Longbrow said, “We’ll head west.”

Shuisheng glanced over. To the west lay several vast, rugged mountains. His face fell as he grumbled, “Martial Uncle, going back the way we came would be so much easier—and safer.”

“What do you know!” Master Longbrow snapped. “The divination just showed great fortune in the west. If we keep going that way, we might find something more.”

Shuisheng’s eyes lit up. “Martial Uncle, are you serious?”

“If it’s not true, is it fake?” Master Longbrow shot Shuisheng an exasperated glare before turning to Ye Qiu. “Little brat, trust me—heading west will bring rewards.”

“Whatever.”

Ye Qiu wasn’t holding out much hope. He’d seen Master Longbrow’s divination skills before—nine out of ten times they were wrong, and the tenth was a lucky guess.

Seeing Ye Qiu agree, Master Longbrow waved grandly. “Let’s go—westward ho!”

Westward ho?

Ye Qiu couldn’t help but think of a movie with the same name, and that female lead…

Well, she was rather well-endowed!

The three headed west, crossing three mountain ridges along the way, but they found nothing.

Shuisheng complained, “Martial Uncle, I seriously suspect Ye Qiu and I have been duped by you. We’ve walked this far and seen nothing.”

“You can’t rush good things,” Master Longbrow said. “Trust me, we’ll find something on this journey.”

They crossed two more ridges.

Suddenly, a rich, medicinal fragrance wafted into their noses.

Ye Qiu’s body jolted.

Only herbs aged over a century could emit such a potent scent.

Just as Ye Qiu was about to speak, Master Longbrow, who was leading the way, barked, “Stop.”

Ye Qiu and Shuisheng halted instantly, fully alert.

“There’s danger ahead. You two stay here and don’t move. I’ll check it out.” By the time Master Longbrow finished speaking, he was already five yards ahead.

Bloody hell, this guy wants to hog it all.

Realising Master Longbrow’s intent, Ye Qiu darted after him. In an instant, the two arrived at a medicinal field.

The field spanned about two acres.

Surrounded by peaks, it sat in a concave hollow.

Looking around, the field was packed with dense clusters of herbs—red flowers, gastrodia, balloon flowers, white atractylodes, goldthread, angelica, liquorice…

At least a hundred varieties.

And every single plant was at least a decade old!

“I told you, didn’t I? Westward would bring rewards. Now do you believe me?” Master Longbrow said. “Little brat, I spotted this field first, so all these herbs are mine.”

Ye Qiu didn’t respond, his eyes scanning the field.

He’d clearly smelled the scent of century-old herbs—so where were they?

Suddenly, his gaze landed on the centre of the field, where he spotted the stem of a ginseng plant.

The stem was as thick as a tree trunk, about the width of a bowl and nearly two metres tall.

Only a century-old ginseng could grow so robust.

But to Ye Qiu’s surprise, the ginseng root at the base was long gone.

Then he noticed the leaf of a longevity herb, as large as a lotus leaf—another century-old specimen.

Like the ginseng, only the leaf remained; the root had vanished without a trace.

Ye Qiu sighed inwardly with regret. “Old man, we’re too late. Two century-old herbs have already been taken.”

“No matter, there’s still a century-old lingzhi.” Master Longbrow pointed ahead.

Ye Qiu looked over and saw an ancient, withered tree lying at the edge of the field.

Growing atop it was a lingzhi mushroom, larger than a washbasin, impossible to miss.

“Strange—why take the ginseng and longevity herb but leave the lingzhi behind?”

Ye Qiu was puzzled.

“That lingzhi is mine—I found it, so don’t you dare snatch it.” Master Longbrow hurried over to the tree, bending down to pick the lingzhi.

Just then, something unexpected happened.

A purple blur streaked past Master Longbrow, and in an instant, the lingzhi was gone.

“Who’s there?”

Master Longbrow whipped around and saw a small, purple creature perched on a nearby rock. It was furry and resembled a rat.

The little creature was clutching the century-old lingzhi, nibbling away at it with relish.

“A rat eating herbs? That’s a first,” Shuisheng said in amazement.

“Idiot, that’s not a rat—it’s a sable,” Master Longbrow barked at the purple sable. “Give me back my lingzhi!”

The sable seemed to understand human speech. It shook its little head and started gnawing on the lingzhi even faster.

“Stealing my lingzhi? You’re dead!” Master Longbrow roared, about to strike, when Ye Qiu called out, “Wait.”

“What do you want?” Master Longbrow asked irritably.

“Don’t hurt it,” Ye Qiu said. “It’s not an ordinary sable—it’s a legendary medicine sable!”

Miracle Doctor Chapter 608

Medicine sable?

Master Longbrow froze for a moment, “What’s a medicine sable?”

Ye Qiu explained, “A medicine sable is a creature that thrives on eating herbs and excels at finding them.”

“To put it simply, it loves munching on medicinal plants and has an incredibly sharp sense of smell. Its greatest talent is tracking down herbs.”

“They say an adult medicine sable can easily locate century-old herbs within a ten-mile radius.”

“This one in front of us probably isn’t fully grown yet, but even so, if there’s a century-old herb within a mile, it can sniff it out with just a twitch of its nose.”

“I’d only ever read about medicine sables in medical texts before. I never imagined such a legendary creature actually existed.”

That incredible?

Master Longbrow’s eyes darted around as a thought struck him, “If I could get my hands on this medicine sable, finding century-old herbs in the future would be a piece of cake, wouldn’t it?”

Ye Qiu saw right through Master Longbrow’s intentions, gave a faint smile, and said nothing.

Master Longbrow edged closer to the sable, putting on a friendly grin and waving at it, “Little darling, come here, come to big brother’s arms.”

Pfft, Ye Qiu couldn’t hold back a laugh.

Shuisheng, standing nearby with a sour expression, muttered, “Martial Uncle’s really lost it, calling himself ‘big brother’ to a beast. By that logic, wouldn’t I have to call that thing ‘Martial Uncle’ too?”

Ye Qiu chuckled, “If the old man actually manages to tame this medicine sable, calling it ‘Martial Uncle’ wouldn’t be a loss. After all, its abilities are nothing to scoff at.”

“But the medicine sable is a highly intelligent creature. Taming it isn’t a simple task.”

As the two spoke, Master Longbrow was now just three metres from the sable.

He crept closer, light on his feet, still cooing, “Little darling, come to big brother’s arms. I’ll take you to Dragon Tiger Mountain for some tasty treats.”

“There’s loads of good stuff to eat at Dragon Tiger Mountain.”

“I’m sure a little thing like you would love it.”

Master Longbrow inched nearer, now just half a metre away. Suddenly, he lunged, trying to grab the sable.

With a flash, the sable darted three metres away, leaving Master Longbrow grasping at air.

“Didn’t expect you to be such a cheeky little thing. Too bad for you, you can’t escape my clutches.”

Master Longbrow grinned wickedly and charged at the sable again.

His speed was astonishing.

But unbeknownst to him, the sable was even faster. With a few leaps, it vanished into the herb field, then perched atop a plant, still gnawing on its lingzhi.

By now, half the lingzhi had disappeared into its belly.

Master Longbrow’s temper flared. He, a master who’d comprehended true qi, couldn’t outpace a mere beast? If word got out, he’d be a laughingstock!

“Want to race me? Fine, let’s see just how fast you are.”

In an instant, Master Longbrow’s body blurred into an afterimage, streaking forward like lightning.

The next second, the sable vanished from his sight again.

And so began a frantic chase between man and sable through the herb field.

Half an hour later, Master Longbrow was drenched in sweat and still hadn’t caught it.

The sable squatted on a herb, nibbling its lingzhi while eyeing him warily with bright little eyes.

“Damn it, this beast’s like a bloody spirit, impossible to catch!” Master Longbrow plopped down on the ground, cursing in frustration.

“How about I give it a go?” Ye Qiu offered suddenly.

“No point trying, you won’t catch it either,” Master Longbrow said.

“What if I do?”

“If you catch it, the medicine sable’s yours. I won’t fight you for it.”

“You said it.” Ye Qiu rummaged through Shuisheng’s backpack, pulled out two Big White Rabbit milk candies, unwrapped them, and dangled them in front of the sable.

“Childish!”

Master Longbrow sneered.

But no sooner had he spoken than the sable zipped over, stopping a metre from Ye Qiu. Its bright eyes flicked between Ye Qiu and the candies, full of caution.

“Come here, little one, have some candy,” Ye Qiu said with a smile, “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.”

Step by step, the sable edged closer.

Before long, it was right in front of Ye Qiu. Dropping the half-eaten lingzhi, it snatched a candy with its mouth and gobbled it down.

After finishing, it licked its tiny pink tongue, staring at Ye Qiu with a look that screamed, “More, please!”

Ye Qiu unwrapped another candy and handed it over.

The sable’s eyes lit up. Clutching the candy with its fuzzy little paws, it munched away happily.

After the second one, it kept gazing at Ye Qiu.

“You can’t have too many candies at once, or you’ll get cavities. Stick with me, though, and I’ll give you even tastier treats later,” Ye Qiu said with a grin.

Master Longbrow scoffed, “Little brat, if you can tame it with two candies, I’ll write my name backwards from now on.”

The next moment, his smirk froze.

The sable leapt lightly onto Ye Qiu’s shoulder, rubbed its fluffy nose against his face once, then again, and finally started licking him. It was as clingy as a lovesick couple, downright mushy.

“Disgusting!”

Master Longbrow spat out the word.

It wasn’t so much disgust as envy toward Ye Qiu.

After snuggling with Ye Qiu for a bit, the sable settled on his shoulder and fell asleep, snoring softly. It looked utterly adorable.

“Old man, looks like you’ll be writing your name backwards now, huh?” Ye Qiu teased.

Master Longbrow huffed, “Hmph, using cheap tricks to fool a little beast, gentlemen would scorn it.”

“Are you a gentleman?”

Master Longbrow, “…”

“Shuisheng, thanks for that. If it weren’t for your Big White Rabbit candies, taming this little guy wouldn’t have been so easy,” Ye Qiu said with a laugh.

Wait, the candies came from Shuisheng?

Master Longbrow’s face turned green with rage. He stormed over and smacked Shuisheng’s bald head.

“Martial Uncle, why’d you hit me?” Shuisheng clutched his head, looking wronged.

Master Longbrow fumed, “If you’d taken out those candies earlier, that beast wouldn’t have gone to Ye Qiu! Tell me, don’t you deserve a whack?”

Shuisheng felt even more aggrieved, “Ye Qiu didn’t say it’d eat candies! I thought he just wanted them for himself.”

“You dimwit!”

“Alright, old man, don’t blame Shuisheng,” Ye Qiu interjected, “The sable sticking with me isn’t really about the candies.”

“Then what’s it about?” Master Longbrow asked, baffled.

Ye Qiu grinned, “Because I’m handsome.”

Pah!

Master Longbrow wanted to spit in Ye Qiu’s face. Fuming, he turned and stormed off.

Before leaving, he stuffed the half-eaten lingzhi into his bag.

After hours of trekking, the three finally emerged from the Hundred Thousand Mountains.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 609

Ye Qiu and the other two returned to Lingshan County.

They had a meal together.

Then, Master Longbrow took Shuisheng back to Dragon Tiger Mountain.

Before parting, Master Longbrow said to Ye Qiu, “Come to Dragon Tiger Mountain when you have time. I’ll personally roast some game for you.”

“Alright,” Ye Qiu agreed readily.

Master Longbrow added, “Hurry up and improve your cultivation. I have a feeling those old monsters in the Forbidden City are about to come out of seclusion.”

“I will,” Ye Qiu replied.

The old monsters of the Forbidden City weighed on Ye Qiu’s mind like a massive boulder, giving him immense pressure.

Master Longbrow glanced at the medicine sable perched on Ye Qiu’s shoulder and said, “I’m really jealous of you.”

Ye Qiu grinned, “Can’t help it. Good looks, good luck.”

“Get lost!” Master Longbrow glared at Ye Qiu and stormed off with a flick of his sleeve.

“Dr. Ye, you must come to Dragon Tiger Mountain when you’re free,” Shuisheng said. He glanced ahead, seeing Master Longbrow already far off, then whispered, “Martial Uncle’s secretly stashed a bunch of wine. I know where it’s buried. I’ll dig it up for you to drink when you come.”

“Sure, and if you’ve got time, come visit Jiangzhou. I’ll take you to a club,” Ye Qiu replied.

“A club?” Shuisheng looked puzzled, “What’s that?”

“You don’t know?” Ye Qiu was a bit surprised, “Ask the old man. He’s a regular at all the big clubs.”

“Alright then, I’ll head off. See you, Dr. Ye,” Shuisheng waved, caught up with Master Longbrow, and asked, “Martial Uncle, when are you taking me to a club? Dr. Ye said you’re a regular at them.”

Thwack! Master Longbrow smacked Shuisheng on the head and said sternly, “Don’t listen to that little brat’s nonsense. I’m the head of Dragon Tiger Mountain. How could I possibly go to such filthy places?”

Unbeknownst to him, this only piqued Shuisheng’s curiosity about the clubs Ye Qiu mentioned.

Glancing at Master Longbrow, Shuisheng thought to himself, “Fine, don’t tell me. I’ll just go to Jiangzhou and have Dr. Ye take me to one.”

Master Longbrow caught the glint in Shuisheng’s eye and knew exactly what the kid was thinking. He groaned inwardly.

Shuisheng was at that hot-blooded age and had a handsome face to boot. If he really went to a club, wouldn’t those women there devour him alive?

No way, this kid cannot leave the mountain.

“Shuisheng, look at yourself. You’re only a few years younger than Ye Qiu, yet you don’t even have half his skills,” Master Longbrow said.

“Once we’re back at the mountain, you’re going into seclusion.”

“Until you master the Golden Light Incantation, you’re not stepping foot off the mountain.”

Shuisheng’s face instantly turned more bitter than a gourd.

After Master Longbrow and Shuisheng left, Ye Qiu also took a bus out of Lingshan County.

On the road, Ye Qiu leaned back in his seat to sleep.

The past few days in the Hundred Thousand Mountains had kept his nerves on edge, and he hadn’t rested well.

A few hours later, he’d need to catch a flight back to Jiangzhou.

He didn’t know how long had passed when a loud “clang” jolted him awake, followed by a chorus of screams.

A crash! Ye Qiu’s eyes snapped open. The bus he was on had slammed into a hillside and stalled instantly.

Thankfully, all the passengers inside were unharmed.

Ye Qiu let out a breath of relief and looked up, only to see that the bus had collided with a red lorry.

The lorry, like a maddened bull, charged forward wildly before letting out a piercing screech of brakes that froze the air. Then, with a “bang,” it flipped onto its side on the highway.

Instinctively, Ye Qiu’s medical training kicked in, two words flashing in his mind—Save him!

He leapt off the bus and dashed forward like lightning, reaching the lorry in just ten seconds.

Bending down, Ye Qiu saw only one person in the cab, the driver.

The driver was unconscious, a large gash on his forehead bleeding profusely.

At this rate of blood loss, without immediate treatment, the driver would be dead in minutes.

The situation was critical.

“Boom!” Ye Qiu kicked open the lorry’s windscreen, yanked the driver out of the cab, and laid him flat on the ground. He quickly pulled out three five-inch golden needles.

Swish, swish, swish! Ye Qiu inserted the three needles into the top of the driver’s head.

Next, he took out two seven-inch golden needles, holding one in each hand, and applied them simultaneously.

In an instant, the two needles pierced the driver’s temples.

Ye Qiu then drew a blood-stopping talisman.

After completing these steps, it was clear the bleeding from the driver’s forehead had stopped.

It worked! Ye Qiu grabbed the driver’s wrist to check his pulse, and his expression changed instantly.

There was internal bleeding in the driver’s chest!

If the blood wasn’t cleared soon, it could clog the blood vessels and potentially cause a heart attack.

Ye Qiu immediately unbuttoned the driver’s shirt, pulled out seven more golden needles, and inserted them into the driver’s chest. Then, he flicked the end of one needle with his finger.

“Buzz!” The seven needles vibrated in unison, emitting a humming sound.

At the same time, a faint golden airflow moved between the needles.

By then, the bus passengers had disembarked and gathered nearby, watching Ye Qiu perform his acupuncture rescue. The entire highway was blocked solid.

A Bentley sedan approaching from a distance slowed to a stop.

In the front passenger seat of the Bentley sat a middle-aged man in a suit and glasses.

Seeing the crowd clogging the road ahead, the man frowned and said to the driver, “Xiao Wang, go check what’s happening up there.”

“Yes, Professor Qian,” Xiao Wang replied and quickly got out of the car.

The middle-aged man glanced at the back seat, where a lean old man in a black robe sat, eyes closed, resting.

Next to the old man was a black medicine chest.

Two minutes later, Xiao Wang returned and reported to the middle-aged man, “Professor Qian, there’s been an accident ahead. A lorry driver’s badly injured and bleeding heavily.”

Hearing this, the black-robed old man in the back seat opened his eyes and said, “Let’s go take a look.”

Professor Qian hurriedly said, “Elder Li, we should hurry on our way. My father’s still waiting for you to save him.”

“As a healer, how can I ignore someone in need?” Elder Li replied, picking up his medicine chest, opening the car door, and rushing toward the crowd.

Xiao Wang muttered under his breath, “This Elder Li has no sense of priority. Can a lorry driver’s life compare to the old master’s?”

“The old master’s hanging by a thread, waiting for him to save his life, and he’s wasting time here. If this delays treatment, can he bear the responsibility?”

“Watch your words!” Professor Qian shot Xiao Wang a stern look and said, “Elder Li is a national medical sage. He knows what he’s doing.”

With that, Professor Qian opened his door and headed into the crowd as well.

Miracle Doctor Chapter 610

Elder Li, carrying his medicine chest, shouted to the onlookers, “Step aside, I’m a doctor.”

The crowd glanced at him, seeing an old man in a long robe with an imposing presence, and quickly said, “Someone’s already treating the injured person.”

“Oh?” Elder Li pushed through the crowd and spotted Ye Qiu.

He was about to step in to assist when he noticed seven golden needles inserted into the driver’s chest.

The seven needles were trembling rapidly, emitting a buzzing sound, while a golden airflow circulated between them.

Elder Li’s heart jolted.

“This… this is the Seven Star Acupuncture Technique!”

Elder Li cast a shocked glance at Ye Qiu.

“What masterful acupuncture!”

Then, his gaze shifted to the driver’s head.

He saw five more golden needles.

Two were pierced into the temples on either side of the driver’s forehead, while the other three were inserted into the Shenting, Baihui, and Shangxing acupoints.

“This is the Five Elements Acupuncture Technique!”

Elder Li, being a national master of medicine, recognised Ye Qiu’s methods at a glance.

“This young man is incredible, mastering three peerless acupuncture techniques. He’s a true medical genius.”

“If Zhang Jiuling were here, he’d probably take him as a disciple.”

“But why is he using the Five Elements Technique on the injured man’s head?”

Elder Li was puzzled.

The Five Elements Technique was primarily used to balance the body’s yin and yang, treating mental and emotional conditions.

By mental conditions, it meant psychological issues like sadness, anger, anxiety, irritability, or depression.

But why would he use the Five Elements Technique on this injured person?

Elder Li frowned slightly, glanced at Ye Qiu, then shifted his attention back to the driver’s head. After observing for a while, it suddenly clicked.

“I get it, he’s using the Five Elements Technique to stop the bleeding.”

“This approach is far too risky. One misstep, and not only would it fail to stop the bleeding, but it could also cost the injured man the critical window for treatment.”

“Even so, stopping the bleeding with the Five Elements Technique shouldn’t be this fast. He must have used some other supplementary method.”

“What could it be?”

Elder Li asked himself. Even if he were the one stopping the bleeding, he couldn’t have done it as quickly as Ye Qiu.

In that moment, Elder Li’s curiosity about Ye Qiu deepened.

Professor Qian approached Elder Li, glanced at the injured man, and asked, “Elder Li, why aren’t you helping?”

“There’s no need for me to step in anymore,” Elder Li replied.

“Why not?” Professor Qian was taken aback.

Elder Li smiled, “The young man treating the injured person is very skilled.”

“Really?” Professor Qian thought Elder Li was just being modest. He glanced at Ye Qiu without much interest and said with a smile, “Elder Li, since they don’t need you here, shall we get going?”

“No rush, let’s watch a bit longer.”

About three minutes passed.

Ye Qiu flicked his finger, and the seven needles in the driver’s chest instantly stilled. With a swift motion of his right hand, he retrieved all seven needles.

“Such a fast needle withdrawal.”

Elder Li’s eyes brightened.

Ye Qiu’s technique was quick, steady, and fluid, a pleasure to watch.

Subconsciously, Elder Li began comparing Ye Qiu to Zhang Jiuling and reached a conclusion.

Ye Qiu’s needle withdrawal was even more refined than Zhang Jiuling’s!

“It seems Old Zhang has a rival now.”

“This young man’s acupuncture skills are extraordinary, and he’s so young. In a few years, Old Zhang might have to relinquish his title as the King of Acupuncture.”

Elder Li chuckled, suddenly recalling something.

“Right, last time I think Old Zhang mentioned a young doctor named Ye Qiu with impressive acupuncture skills.”

“Judging by this young man’s age, he’s probably around the same age as that Ye Qiu. I wonder which of them has the superior technique?”

After retrieving the needles, Ye Qiu checked the driver’s pulse again.

He found that after the Seven Star Technique, the internal bleeding in the driver’s chest was gradually dissipating.

But at this rate, it would take at least ten more minutes for the blood to fully clear.

“Too slow.”

“If the blood isn’t cleared quickly, he could still suffer a heart attack.”

“I need to help him clear it faster.”

With that thought, Ye Qiu pressed his right hand onto the driver’s chest and held it still.

“What’s he doing?” Elder Li’s eyes filled with confusion once more.

Not just him, the onlookers were puzzled too.

“Why isn’t he moving?”

“What kind of treatment is this? So strange.”

Little did they know, Ye Qiu was keeping his hand still on the driver’s chest because he was channeling a wisp of innate true qi into it, using this primal energy to clear the internal bleeding.

Sure enough, the innate qi worked wonders.

One minute later, Ye Qiu withdrew his hand.

Elder Li examined the driver from head to toe, scrutinising him four or five times, before noticing the driver’s right hand drooping slightly—a sign of a fracture.

“I wonder if that young man noticed the fracture?”

Elder Li was about to speak up when he saw Ye Qiu grasp the driver’s right hand. Ye Qiu’s five fingers swiftly slid from the shoulder to the elbow joint, then with a pull and a tug, a “crack” sounded as the fractured bone snapped back into place.

“This bone-setting technique… why does it feel so familiar?”

Elder Li lowered his head in thought.

Professor Qian glanced at Elder Li, seeing he had no intention of leaving yet. Anxiety burned within him, but he didn’t dare press Elder Li further, fearing it might anger him.

To get Elder Li to come along this time, Professor Qian had pulled countless strings and barely managed to convince him. If he annoyed Elder Li now and he refused to go back with him, his father would be headed straight for the underworld.

But staying here wasting time was just as dangerous for his father.

Professor Qian thought for a moment and gave a subtle look to the driver, Xiao Wang.

Xiao Wang immediately said, “Elder Li, let’s get going. The old master’s life hangs by a thread, waiting for you to save him…”

“Shut up!” Professor Qian shot Xiao Wang a glare and scolded, “Elder Li knows what he’s doing. You don’t need to remind him.”

Elder Li snapped out of his thoughts and laughed, “Xiao Wang’s right. The old master’s condition is critical. Let’s hurry!”

With that, he gave Ye Qiu a deep look, then turned and walked away.

Soon, the Bentley started up.

Xiao Wang honked a few times, dispersing the crowd blocking the highway, then sped off.

“That bone-setting technique the young man used—I feel like I’ve seen it somewhere before, but why can’t I remember?”

Elder Li sat in the back, appearing to rest with his eyes closed, but in his mind, he was replaying Ye Qiu’s final bone-setting move.

Over and over.

Suddenly, Elder Li’s body stiffened, and he exclaimed in shock, “I’ve got it! He used the Heaven-Mending Hand!”
